The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo KC MP, met the outgoing Commander British Forces, Commodore Tom Guy RN, and his successor, Commodore Tim Davey RN, at No. 6 Convent Place. The Chief Minister thanked Commodore Guy for his four years in post and presented him with a framed print of Gibraltar, given with the gratitude of HM Government of Gibraltar and the people of Gibraltar, while welcoming Commodore Davey as he takes up the role.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia welcomed Lord Hugo Swire to Gibraltar this week, marking a strengthening of ties between Gibraltar and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council.
Speaking at a reception hosted by Deputy Mayor Andrea Simpson at the City Hall, Dr Garcia pointed to Gibraltar's strengths in financial services, digital technologies, online gaming and maritime services as areas where the territory is well-placed to contribute to and benefit from Commonwealth partnerships.

Treaty Town Halls
HM Government of Gibraltar yesterday hosted two successful sector-specific Town Hall meetings at Ince's Hall as part of its ongoing work to support businesses in preparing for the implementation of the new arrangements under the UK-EU Treaty in respect of Gibraltar.
The meetings focused on Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products, and on Special Customs Procedures, including Bonded Warehouses.
The sessions were hosted by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia CMG MP, the Minister for Business, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez MP, the Attorney General and HM Customs officials.
