🐋 When nature delivers the perfect moment 🌊

Some days on the water are simply unforgettable.

On this tour, we didn’t have to travel far from Qeqertarsuaq before we were greeted by one of Disko Bay’s most impressive visitors—a humpback whale. In the first photo, you can almost feel the excitement on board as one of our guests points toward the whale just as it lifts its tail above the surface. With the dramatic cliffs of Disko Island in the background, it was one of those rare moments that photographers dream about.

The following photos capture the humpback whale cruising just outside town, while Qeqertarsuaq’s colorful houses provide a unique Arctic backdrop that reminds us how special it is to experience wildlife this close to a Greenlandic community.

This is exactly why we love taking our guests out on the water—you never know when nature will decide to put on a show.

Our guests had the chance to admire a magnificent iceberg before continuing to the spectacular basalt formations of Kuannit. Along the way, we spotted a variety of Arctic birds and enjoyed some of Greenland’s most breathtaking scenery.
