🌾 From barely 5 hectares to as much as 30 hectares in one season.

For Modou Lamin Barrow, Proprietor of Potomano Rice Farm, access to the Regional Rice Value Chain Development Project (RRVCDP) financing facility through SDF has made it possible to acquire farming equipment, expand cultivation, and increase rice production.

Mechanising Rice Production, Strengthening the Value Chain 🌾🚜

The Regional Rice Value Chain Development Project (RRVCDP) is supporting farmers with the machinery they need to make rice production more efficient, productive and less labour intensive.

Through this support, 18 tractors, 47 power tillers and 5 rotavator boats are being made available to strengthen mechanised farming and improve efficiency from land preparation to production.

With access to the right machinery, farmers can reduce labour, improve productivity and expand rice production.
