The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of The Gambia began its 97th meeting today, 25th February 2026, at the Bank’s headquarters in Banjul.
Chaired by the Governor, Hon. Buah Saidy, the Committee will review and analyse recent economic data from within and outside the country.
The meeting will conclude on Thursday, 26th February 2026, with a press conference scheduled for 2:30 PM at the Bank’s conference room.

An International Trade Finance Conference organized by Ghana International Bank (GHIB) in collaboration with the Central Bank of The Gambia, began on Monday, 9th February 2026 at the Banjul International Convention Center.
Held under the theme “Reimagining International Trade Finance for Africa’s Economic Future,” the conference has brought together experts from across Africa, Europe, and the United States to engage in dialogue on innovative solutions for strengthening trade finance and advancing sustainable economic growth across the continent.
