Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat

Following his official installation at the Permanent Secretariat, the Ambassador, Executive Secretary of the Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat, was received by His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia.

His Excellency President Adama Barrow received, on a working visit, his Senegalese counterpart, H.E. Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, on Saturday, 30 May 2026, in the presence of the Ambassador, Executive Secretary of the Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat.

His Excellency Ambassador Papa Mada NDOUR received Ambassador Ebrima Ousmane NDURE, former Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia to Dakar, who came to pay him a courtesy and welcome visit.

On the occasion of the visit of Vice Admiral Omar WADE, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Senegalese military delegation was received by H.E Ms. Mariame SY, High Commissioner of the Republic of Senegal in The Gambia, in the presence of H.E Ambassador Papa Mada NDOUR, Executive Secretary of the PSSG.

In preparation of the 10th Edition of the Niumi Badiya Festival, the Mayor of Toubacouta, Mr. Pape Seydou DIANKO, Mr. Kemoko NDIAYE, Mayor of Foundiougne, and Mr. Abba AIDARA, President of the Niumi Fort Bullen Festival paid a courtesy visit to H.E Ambassador Papa Mada NDOUR.

Le Secrétariat permanent sénégalo-gambien a le plaisir d’accueillir Son Excellence l’Ambassadeur Papa Mada Ndour en qualité de nouveau Secrétaire exécutif du Secrétariat.
L’Ambassadeur Ndour assume cette importante responsabilité à un moment décisif du renouvellement de l’engagement de la République du Sénégal et de la République de Gambie à approfondir la coopération fonctionnelle, à renforcer le dialogue bilatéral et à faire progresser la vision partagée de l’intégration sénégalo-gambienne.
En tant que Secrétaire exécutif, il assurera le leadership stratégique du Secrétariat dans la coordination de la mise en œuvre des décisions du Conseil présidentiel et de la Commission consultative mixte, ainsi que dans la promotion de la coopération dans les domaines du commerce, des transports, de la sécurité, de la gestion des frontières, de la culture et du développement durable.
Le Secrétariat souhaite chaleureusement la bienvenue à l’Ambassadeur Ndour et se réjouit de pouvoir compter sur son leadership pour consolider les liens historiques d’amitié, de solidarité et de destin commun entre les peuples du Sénégal et de la Gambie.

The Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat is pleased to welcome His Excellency Ambassador Papa Mada NDOUR as the new Executive Secretary of the Secretariat.

Ambassador Ndour assumes this important responsibility at a decisive moment in the renewed commitment of the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of The Gambia to deepen functional cooperation, strengthen bilateral dialogue, and advance the shared vision of Senegambian integration.

As Executive Secretary, he will provide strategic leadership to the Secretariat in coordinating the implementation of decisions of the Presidential Council and the Joint Consultative Commission, promoting cooperation in trade, transport, security, border management, culture, and sustainable development.

The Secretariat warmly welcomes Ambassador Ndour and looks forward to his leadership in consolidating the historic bonds of friendship, solidarity, and common destiny between the peoples of Senegal and The Gambia.
