The Board, Management, and Staff of the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our colleague, Suntu Saidyfye, a Customs Officer, who returned to the mercy of Allah (SWT) at Bafrow Clinic.
His Janazah and burial will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at 2:00 PM at his residence in Brufut.
On behalf of the entire GRA family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, grants him Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah grant his loved ones patience, strength, and comfort in bearing this great loss.

A delegation from the Senegalese Customs Administration yesterday paid a condolence visit to the Gambia Revenue Authority and the family of the late Cordou Loum Jones Ogoh.
The delegation was led by Mr. Ebrima Cham, Customs Regional Director for the Kaolack Region, and included Colonel Babucarr Ngom Mbye, Head of Karang Customs, and Colonel Marget Gaye, Head of Kerr Ayib Customs.
The GRA deeply appreciates this gesture of solidarity and brotherhood during this difficult time.

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) today concluded a five-day Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Validation Workshop held from 18th to 22nd May 2026 at the GRA Headquarters in Banjul.
The workshop focused on strengthening trade facilitation, enhancing compliance, and promoting secure and efficient international trade as part of GRAβs ongoing customs modernization reforms.

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) staff are currently attending Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) certification training at Center for Technology and Business Development LBG in Tema, Ghana, which started 11th May and will end on 25th May, 2025. This certification training covers Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), and Risk Intelligence (RI).
The French Development Agency (AFD) approved a grant for the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) to support its Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) initiative. The grant, which is being implemented through a project (DRM Project CGM1019) is assisting GRA in implementing ERM programs as part of its overall Reforms and Modernization initiatives, as encapsulated in the Authorityβs Corporate Strategic Plan 2025- 2029. The Commissioner General and Management of the Gambia Revenue Authority received a high-level delegation from the Embassy of the Peopleβs Republic of China in The Gambia as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore areas of mutual interest in revenue administration, digital transformation, and institutional capacity building.
The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to engage in fruitful discussions on enhancing collaboration, sharing best practices, and promoting innovation in tax and customs administration.
The GRA remains committed to building strong international partnerships that support efficiency, transparency, and sustainable revenue mobilization for national development.
