The National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) is a semi- autonomous institution established by an Act of Parliament in December 1989 to preserve, promote and develop Gambian arts and culture.

As part of the NCAC - UNESCO ASCHBERG Project, a one day work session on survey is underway at the National Museum Premises in Banjul. The Training workshop is organized for Enumerators, data entry clerks and Supervisors who are expected to do a field survey to gather relevant information on the status of Gambian Artists.
However, the focus of the project is on female artists. The components of the project are:
- Formulation of regulation for the operationalization of the National Endowment Fund
- Elaboration of the regulations
- Survey on the status of artists

👉 Depuis le début de l’année 2022, la Gambie a renouvelé son engagement en faveur de la sauvegarde de son riche patrimoine vivant. Après le lancement officiel de ce processus en avril dernier, une formation s’est aussi tenue en juillet en vue de renforcer les capacités nationales en la matière !
