President Jammeh only preaches messages of peace and will not let anything or anyone compromise with national security. He warned President Barrow not to compromise with national security but Barrow didn’t listen.
We cannot understand why suddenly, people think that President Jammeh’s return is a threat to national security. Where was the threat? Where is the threat? NONE whatsoever!
If H.E Adama Barrow is smart, he will know that arranging for a peaceful return of Presi Jammeh, is in Barrow’s and Gambia’s interest.
Barrow will also be an ex-president soon. He will expect his successor to respect, protect, and ensure peace around him when he leaves office.
President Barrow, ignore all those people who are telling you to refuse Jammeh’s return or that you should arrest him when he comes back. Many of those people have something to hide and that’s why they fear Jammeh’s return but he will return one day. Barrow, please work with Jammeh and ensure his safe return, and provide all his ex-President’s privileges as mandated by constitutional provisions. That is the only right thing to do. You may be in Jammeh’s situation very soon, maybe by 7th December 2026.
Jumaa Mubarak from President Jammeh, APRC, and to you all.

Very well written
Nothing exposes a human being more than a statement that exposes himself or herself.
People who support President Adama Barrow should never question qualifications of other people and mock them for not advancing their education.
How could you sell Adama Barrow’s agenda by concentrating on personal attacks, including poor western education of your rivals, something which your Boss, Adama Barrow, and some of his top advisers, also suffer from?
Barrow’s education is questionable but I don’t want to belabour that point. The real point is:
Throughout the Sukuta Rally, we heard very little about how the government will improve agriculture, health , education, energy supply, security in the country, create jobs, etc.
How is the Tourism Season looking so far? Still dead or the signs are good? Will we ever go back to the era under Jammeh when Tourism was booming with the 42,000 jobs it created?
How will the government reduce the price of commodities such as cement, staple foods, escalating rental costs, land disputes, skyrocketing drugs offences and drug taking, etc?
The cost of living didn’t matter to them?
The rally was political but political rallies also have to have substance, a great message of hope for the people. Instead, what we heard , was targetting individuals and parties, warnings of how the commmander-in-thief has so much power, etc.
Sad times for Gambia!

FOR AND ON BEHALF OF FORMER PRESIDENT YAHYA AJJ JAMMEH
PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2025-11/001
FORMER PRESIDENT YAHYA A.J.J. JAMMEH DECLARES INTENT FOR PEACEFUL
RETURN TO THE GAMBIA IN NOVEMBER 2025
KANILAI, The Gambia – 3rd November 2025
ASSALAM ALAIKUM WA RAHMATULLAHI WABARAKATUHU
For and on behalf of His Excellency, Former President Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh, today
we formally announce the former Head of State's unequivocal intent and sincere
desire to return peacefully to the Republic of The Gambia in November 2025.
The formal correspondence detailing this intent, dated today, will be officially dispatched to H.E. President Adama Barrow and the Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly on Monday, 3rd November 2025.
Copies will also be furnished to the ECOWAS, African Union (AU), and United Nations (UN) Commissions, and all Diplomatic Missions in The Gambia.
The announcement follows nearly nine years of residence in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, where Former President Jammeh has resided under the terms of the ECOWAS–AU–UN Joint Agreement of 21st January 2017.
Hon. Momodou Yafaye Tamba, who is formally mandated to act and speak on behalf of the Former President, emphasized that the decision is rooted in his constitutional rights as a citizen and his commitment to national stability.
Key Commitments and Assertions from the Declaration:
1. Basis for Return: Former President Jammeh’s return is asserted as a constitutional right, specifically in accordance with the provisions of the ECOWAS–AU–UN Joint Agreement of 21st January 2017, which guarantees his liberty to return to The Gambia at any time of his choosing.
2. Commitment to Peace: He solemnly reiterates that his departure on 22nd January 2017 was executed exclusively in the supreme interest of peace, national unity, and the preservation of state stability. He reaffirms his unwavering commitment to a peaceful return, guided by faith and patriotism.
3. Legal Standing of Commissions: The authorities and the Gambian people are
hereby gently reminded that neither the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) nor the Janneh Commission are, under the laws of The Gambia, courts of law. Furthermore, by their own acts and omissions, these bodies and/or their resultant white papers, are considered null and void in law, and therefore neither impede nor impinge on the rights and privileges of H.E. Former President Jammeh as a citizen, a political leader, and a former President and Head of State.
These rights were constitutionally entitled to him since 21st January 2017, when he relinquished his office and claims, and left The Gambia in the interest of peace and national cohesion and stability.
4. Call for Unity: The Former President issues a patriotic appeal to all Gambians—transcending all political and social affiliations—to collectively
uphold the principles of peace, national discipline, mutual respect, and genuine reconciliation, underscoring that the stability of The Gambia "must never be compromised."
5. Demand for Immediate Statutory and Constitutional Provision: Through this formal declaration, we respectfully seek the cooperation, understanding, and proactive engagement of all relevant institutions and international partners to ensure the immediate provision of statutory guarantees and
constitutional provisions for a former President and Head of State.
This measure is essential to fully recognize, respect, and safeguard the fundamental rights, dignity, and security of H.E. Former President Jammeh in strict adherence to the Constitution of The Gambia and the letter of the
ECOWAS–AU–UN Joint Agreement.
For and on behalf of HE Former President Jammeh, we extend his profound greetings and blessings to the Government and the People of The Gambia, concluding with the assurance that only peace, unity, and security shall prevail
upon his return, Insha’Allah.
For and on behalf of HE Former President Jammeh and his entire family and Party:
We herein express deep gratitude to H.E. President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the Government, and the People of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea for their "extraordinary hospitality, steadfast brotherhood, and protection" over the past eight years.
The declaration concludes by trusting that this formal statement will definitively dispel misinformation, discourage division, and reaffirm our collective faith in the goodwill, maturity, and unity of the Gambian people.
Signed:
Hon. Momodou Yafaye Tamba
Mandated to Act and Speak on behalf of H.E. Former President Jammeh, and to work with national and international partners to ensure the full respect and application of the Constitution of The Gambia and the ECOWAS-AU-UN
Agreement.

So true
In an earlier post, we asked you to name one thing that has decreased in price under Barrow’s administration. That post received over 1,000 comments.
After going through most of the comments, it seems the top two things you all agree have dropped in price are:
1. Jammeh’s assets
2. Residence permits for foreigners from the sub region
