🌱Tourlida Islet, Lagoon of Messolonghi, Etoliko, Western Region of Greece.
The islet of Tourlida is filled with wooden houses where the open sea meets the lagoon of Messolonghi – Etoliko. The whole lagoon is classified as Environmental Park. Though small, Tourlida is inhabited by fishermen and is well known for the sea salt of superior quality that is being produced.

“From vision to reality: Unleashing the sustainability superpower in film production” — informational event co-organized by the Hellenic Film Commission of EKKOMED and the Film Office Central Macedonia, as part of the Agora Talks section of the 28th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival Market.
The discussion focuses on the collaboration between the film producer and the sustainability manager on set, highlighting the role of environmental strategy as a creative and production tool.
The event is organized on the occasion of the 2nd Green SCAP workshop, which is hosted in Thessaloniki by the Hellenic Film Commission of EKKOMED and the Film Office of Central Macedonia, within the framework of the Erasmus+ European programme “Green Skills for Cinema and Audiovisual Productions.”
Trainers at the 2nd Green SCAP workshop and speakers at the Agora Talk are:
• Julia Tordai, sustainability consultant, founder and CEO of Green Eyes Productions
• Serena Alfieri, film producer
• Linnea Merzagora, coordinator of the European Green Film network / Trentino Film Commission

🌿🎬 Thessaloniki will host the second on site workshop of the European project Green SCAP (Green Skills for Cinema and Audiovisual Production), implemented within the framework of Erasmus+
🇪🇺Green SCAP aims to develop “green” skills for professionals in the audiovisual industry across Europe.
🟩 The 2nd Green SCAP onsite workshop, co-organized by the Film Office Central Macedonia and the Hellenic Film Commission, marks a key milestone in the implementation of the project.
🌱The workshop will focus on connecting Greek professionals with the contemporary challenges of sustainable filmmaking and best green production practices.

The Greek film and TV incentive programme contributed €928.7m in GVA (Gross Value Added) to the country’s economy between 2018-2025, according to a new study by the international consulting company Olsberg SPI presented to Greece’s Ministry of Culture and the Ελληνικό Κέντρο Κινηματογράφου, Οπτικοακουστικών Μέσων & Δημιουργίας Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Centre (EKKOMED).
According to the study’s findings, the Greek Cash Rebate produced an economic return on investment (ROI) of €4.2m meaning that every €1 of public investment in the cash rebate generated €4.2 of net GVA.
Greece offers a 40% Cash Rebate to national and international productions, with a cap of €8m per project.
