On the 3rd of February 2026, His Excellency Joseph Cuschieri, Ambassador of Malta to Greece, welcomed to our Embassy the Mayor of the Isla Local Council - Kunsill Lokali l-Isla (Senglea - Città Invicta), Mr Clive Pulis.

The meeting focused on areas of mutual interest, such as matters pertaining to local governance, with particular emphasis on strengthening local councils' capacities and advancing the extroversion of local communities. In this respect, H.E. the Ambassador and the Mayor explored opportunities to further enhance people-to-people relations between Malta and Greece at community level. They also examined ways to promote Malta and its localities, highlighting initiatives that could showcase the country’s unique cultural, historical, and geographical identity.
