European Law and Governance School

We are delighted to welcome students from The Fletcher School at Tufts 🇺🇸 to the EPLO headquarters in Plaka and the ELGS Premises in Legrena–Sounion for a two-month internship.

Over the coming weeks, they will engage with our community, take part in the work of the EPLO - European Public Law Organization, and contribute their perspectives in international affairs and diplomacy.

On May 18, ELGS hosted the closed workshop "From Crisis to Polycrisis: Understanding and Managing Entangled Crises" — a timely conversation with students and scholars on the growing complexity of today's global challenges. 🌍

The event opened with welcoming remarks by Mr. Dimitris Tsaknis (ELGS), followed by the official launch of the EPLO Student Club Aelia Eudocia (ESCAE), presented by its President, Mrs. Margherita Potito, with members of the Steering Committee and the wider Club joining online to share their vision and upcoming activities.

Mr. Georgios Tsialas (PhD Candidate, King's College London) then led the workshop session, exploring the concept of polycrisis through theory and contemporary examples, with a focus on the interconnected geopolitical, economic, environmental, and socio-political challenges shaping Europe today.

The afternoon concluded with an engaging debate on how the European Union can better respond to polycrisis conditions — weighing deeper EU federalization against a more state-centered approach.

During April the EPLO- ELGS welcomed 13 doctoral students from the University of Luxembourg to the EPLO Premises in Athens, for an intensive three-day training course on Sustainability and Innovation in the EU Single Market (April 22–24, 2026).

The students engaged with leading experts across sessions covering the EU's Digital Transition, the Digital Single Market, Sustainability, and the Green Transition, bringing together academic rigor and real-world policy expertise.
