Ο Δήμος Σητείας, σε συνεργασία με τον Δήμο Ιεράπετρας, θα συμμετάσχει στον εορτασμό της Παγκόσμιας Ημέρας Τουρισμού, που θα πραγματοποιηθεί τη Δευτέρα 28 Σεπτεμβρίου, με ώρα έναρξης 19:30.

Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιείται με τη στήριξη των Πολιτιστικών Συλλόγων Αγίου Στεφάνου, Σταυροχωρίου, Καλού Νερού και Λιθινών καθώς και τοπικών ξενοδοχειακών επιχειρήσεων, επαγγελματιών και φορέων.

Σας καλούμε να γιορτάσουμε μαζί την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Τουρισμού και να μοιραστούμε μια βραδιά γεμάτη μουσική, χορό, γεύσεις, πολιτισμό και αυθεντική κρητική φιλοξενία.

Θα ακολουθήσει ένα ενδιαφέρον challenge, στο οποίο μπορούν να συμμετάσχουν όλοι οι επισκέπτες και οι παρευρισκόμενοι της εκδήλωσης.

🇬🇧 The Municipality of Sitia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Ierapetra, will participate in the celebration of World Tourism Day, which will take place on Monday, September 28, starting at 7:30 PM.

The event is held with the support of the Cultural Associations of Agios Stefanos, Stavrochori, Kaló Nero and Lithines, as well as local hotels, businesses, professionals and organizations.

We invite you to join us in celebrating World Tourism Day and enjoy an evening filled with music, dancing, local flavours, culture and authentic Cretan hospitality.

An exciting challenge will follow, open to all visitors and attendees of the event.

Itanos – Erimoupoli Beach

A serene and scenic beach near the archaeological site of Itanos, east of Sitia in northeastern Crete, Itanos – Erimoupoli Beach is a peaceful retreat where natural beauty and ancient history meet.

The beach features a beautiful mix of soft sand and smooth pebbles, while its calm, crystal-clear, deep blue waters make it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Its tranquil atmosphere and relatively uncrowded setting offer the perfect escape for those looking to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of eastern Crete.

Just beyond the shore lies the archaeological site of ancient Itanos, once one of the most important coastal cities of eastern Crete. The city flourished from the Minoan period through the early Christian era and played a significant role in the region’s maritime and commercial life.

Known today as Erimoupolis, ancient Itanos once controlled a vast stretch of coastline, extending from Cape Samonion—modern Cape Sidero, meaning “Iron Cape”—to Cape Erythraion, now known as Goudouras, as well as the nearby island of Lefki, today’s Koufonisi.

A visit to Itanos – Erimoupoli Beach offers more than a day by the sea: it is an opportunity to experience the rare combination of tranquil waters, untouched landscapes and thousands of years of Cretan history.

Όταν η ζωή δυσκολεύει, η πόλη μας ξέρει να γίνεται μια μεγάλη οικογένεια.
Την Δευτέρα 24 Αυγούστου, ενώνουμε τις φωνές, τις καρδιές και τις δυνάμεις μας σε μια μουσική συνάντηση για να σταθούμε δίπλα στη δική μας Μαρία Κριθαράκη, στον μεγάλο αγώνα που δίνει για την υγεία της.
Αγαπημένοι καλλιτέχνες και μουσικοί της πόλης μας συμμετέχουν αφιλοκερδώς, προσφέροντας το ταλέντο και την ψυχή τους για έναν σκοπό που μας αφορά όλους, να αποδείξουμε πως κανένας δεν είναι μόνος στα δύσκολα.
Δεν πρόκειται απλά για μια συναυλία.
Είναι μια γιορτή αλληλεγγύης, μια ζεστή αγκαλιά κι ένα ηχηρό μήνυμα ελπίδας.
