Congratulations to LTC Dave Yi, Battalion Commander, 1st BN, 196th IN BDE, on graduating Jungle School—a demanding course that tests endurance, discipline, and leadership in tough conditions. He graduated alongside CPT Ramonjoe Respicio from 3rd BN, 196th IN BDE, showcasing the strength of the 196th team across the Pacific.
Leaders who pursue hard training bring that edge back to the formation, strengthening our readiness and supporting the JPMRC mission wherever we’re called to operate. Well done, gentlemen!

Outgoing: LTC Bourke, Daniel K.
Incoming: LTC Paolilli, Joseph T.
Today we honor LTC Bourke and the Bourke family for the legacy they leave behind, and we warmly welcome LTC Joseph T. Paollili and his family as they begin their new chapter with us.
LTC Bourke, your leadership was defined by trust, humility, and quiet strength. You empowered us, led with heart, and left a mark that will not soon fade. The Bourke family gave this battalion more than leadership, you gave it warmth, care, and a true sense of belonging.
To the Paollili family, welcome! We are excited for the road ahead and grateful to walk it with you. You step into a strong legacy and we are ready for what is next.

The Taga team spent the evening celebrating the incredible contributions and accomplishments of our Taga BN S4, SFC Adara Moreno. As SFC Moreno prepares for retirement from the United States Army we can truly not state how much her contributions have changed this formation.
An embodiment of the NCO Creed, SFC Moreno is dedicated to accomplishing the mission and supporting her team. All Soldiers are entitled to outstanding leadership and if you have ever had the privilege of working alongside Moreno in Guam, the Philippines, Alaska or Hawaii you know that she lives and breathes this mentality every single day.
From welcoming new families to our island home, to prepping for our many rotations, rescuing Taga 6 and CSM from the jungle in the Philippines or just making sure we all have a stellar meal or local dish, SFC Moreno’s warm smile and dedication to the teams success made us all a little bit better. For all the amazing things she has accomplished in the Army, she has far exceeded that as a parent a sister and a friend.
Five years in the Taga Battalion will never be enough, but we know you will continue to do amazing things on our island home of Guam, with your family and beyond. Si Yu’os Ma’ase SFC Moreno and thank you for your service.
