Today, DHAPP went out with DPHSS Deputy Director Amanda Shelton to distribute some water and food support to Yigo residents in the Gil Breeze area. We spoken with residents about how they fared during the storm and checked if they needed any assistance with DPHSS services or connection to any other government services. BIBA Public Health Month!!

DHAPP’s team making everyone count for the 2026 Guam Homeless Coalition Point in Time count on January 30, 2026. Volunteer teams went throughout the island to survey almost 200 sites throughout Guam starting at 4am through the evening. DHAPP is proud to be a member of the Guam Homeless Coalition

PIT Count 2025 done. One last shoutout to the Lions Club Guahan Isan Famagu’on for their donations. OHAPP staff and volunteers from the NASW and NOAA joined our team and we covered nearly 30 sites in Tamuning. Another humbling learning experience and inspiring work done by the GHC and all volunteers who helped in every village and headquarters. BIBA

Donations poured in this week to support the Guam Homeless Coalition Point in Time count on Jan 31. All of the donated items will go into the care bags we’ll be passing out that day. Good deeds with hearts and minds in the right place. For November “Homeless Awareness Month”, OHAPP partnered with the Hagatna Library and our Guam Homeless Coalition partners and held an outreach with immunizations and health screens from DPHSS, disability services assessment with and intake for those needing possible legal guidance with . Next outreach at the library is next week 10a-2p Thursday with and other GHC members.
