DPW completed road paving work this past weekend in Sabanan Magås, Mangilao.
We thank the community for its patience and cooperation as crews completed this improvement project.
Friday evening, DPW crews continued road preparation work in Sabanan Magås, Mangilao in support of an upcoming paving project.
We thank the community for its patience and ask motorists to use caution around crews and equipment in the area.
DPW Highway Maintenance and Construction Division continued abandoned vehicle clearance operations into the evening, as crews worked to address additional areas.

DPW assisted the Guam Fire Department with firefighting operations in the Ordot-Chalan Pago area in support of the ongoing emergency response.

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the construction zones, observe all posted speed limits and construction signs, and carefully heed flaggers (when present). Alternate routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
Islandwide Primary Roads Paving and Pavement Markings TO-4 Route 10
Construction activities will continue along Route 10 from June 1, 2026 to June 7, 2026. Contractor crews will be working at various locations along Route 10 throughout the week. Intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours: Monday-Friday, June 1-5, 2026, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Pavement Marking and Striping at the Route 10/ Route 15 Intersection. Saturday, June 6, 2026, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Pavement repair (Milling and paving) at the Route 10/Route 4 Intersection.
- Sunday, June 7, 2026, No Work Scheduled.
- Work may be performed 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM if needed
Islandwide Safety Improvement on Primary Roads (Striping and Marking) TO-03 - Route 1, from Route 27 to AAFB
Construction activities will continue along Route 1, from June 1, 2026 to June 5, 2026. Contractor crews will be working at various locations along this area of Route 1 throughout the week, and intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours:
- Monday to Friday, June 1 to June 5, 2026, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, (between Route 27 and Juan Jacinto Road (Hafa Adai Market), Install pavement markings and markers)
- Saturday, June 6, 2026, No Work Scheduled
- Sunday, June 7, 2026, No Work Scheduled
Route 17 Cross Island Road Improvements
Santa Rita/Yona Motorists are advised of intermittent lane closures in both directions along Route 17 (Cross Island Road) between Route 5 and Route 4A as Samsung E&C America continues power pole installation. Work will occur between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday - Friday.
DPW HMC Grass Cutting: Route 17 (Cross Island Road) and Route 4
Yona/Talofofo The DPW HMC crew will be bush cutting and side cutting along Route 17 from Windward Hills to the Route 17/ Route 4 Intersection, then along Route 4 heading south towards the Talofofo Bay Lookout. Work will occur between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Today, the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority (GHURA) is hosting the Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Job Fair for Ancillary Positions from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Agana Shopping Center, 1st Floor, former Primo Surf Store.

Following recent waterblasting and graffiti removal efforts in Tamuning, DPW Building Maintenance crews have now completed painting and restoration work in the area.
We thank the community for its continued support as crews work to maintain and improve public spaces.

DPW crews responded to debris on the roadway at the overpass, including cases of porcelain tiles, and cleared the area to help restore safe travel.
Motorists are reminded to use caution and that dumping debris or other harmful materials on Guam’s highways is prohibited by law.

GUAM CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through construction zones, observe posted speed limits and construction signs, and carefully follow flaggers when present. Alternate routes and adjusted travel times are encouraged when feasible.
Route 10 – Chalan Pago-Ordot / Mangilao / Barrigada
- Construction activities will continue from May 18 to May 24, 2026 with intermittent lane closures in both directions during work hours.
- Monday to Friday, May 18–22, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM: Pavement marking and striping at the Route 10 / Route 15 intersection
- Saturday, May 23, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM: Pavement repair, including milling and paving, at the Route 32 / Route 10 intersection
- Sunday, May 24: No work scheduled, though work may be performed from 7:00 AM–6:00 PM if needed
Route 1 – Macheche Road to Y Sengsong
- Construction activities will take place from May 18 to May 22, 2026 with intermittent lane closures during work hours.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM: Installation of pavement markings and markers
- Saturday, May 23: No work scheduled
- Sunday, May 24: No work scheduled
Route 17 – Cross Island Road, Santa Rita / Yona
- Motorists are advised of intermittent lane closures in both directions along Route 17 between Route 5 and Route 4A as Samsung E&C America continues power pole installation.
- Work will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Please expect traffic delays, plan travel time accordingly, and use alternate routes when possible. Reduce speed, follow posted detour signs, and remain alert for uneven pavement surfaces, temporary steel plates, crews, and equipment in active work zones.
DPW crews are at Cruz Heights in Ipan conducting road preparation and improvement work to support safer and better roadway conditions for the community.
