On Friday October 10, 2025 Her Excellency Amie Fabureh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of The Gambia to Guinea Bissau presented her Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Guinea at Mohamed V Palace in Conakry.
During the presentation ceremony, Her Excellency extended fraternal greetings of His Excellency President Adama Barrow to his brother His Excellency Gen. Mohammad Doumbouya and the entire people of Guinea Conakry.
Her Excellency is now the Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary accredited to Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde and Guinea Conakry.
After presenting her Letter of Credence, Her Excellency had a short meeting with His Excellency Gen. Muhammad Doumbouya in which she expressed strong collaboration in the area of Trade, Agriculture, Tourism and Sport for the interest of the two nations.
Her Excellency also urged the formation of a joint commission between the government of the Gambia and Conakry to foster trade and the free movement of goods and services.

The Ambassador of The Gambia in Guinea-Bissau, Her Excellency Madam Amie Fabureh attends the International African Colloquium on 23 and 24 September 2025 organized by the Ministry of Homeland and Freedom Fighters of Guinea-Bissau under the theme: “Comparative Experience of the Struggle for African Independence".
During this occasion, the Ambassador gave a speech highlighting how the Republic of The Gambia obtained its sovereignty and also recalled how The Gambian People and Bissau Guinean are historically connected.

On the 21st August 2025, the Ambassador of Guinea Bissau Her Excellency Amie Fabureh and the staff received 79 participants from the President's International Award Gam-Bissau Exploration 2025.
The reason of their visit was to brief Her Excellency on the purpose of their trip in Bissau. This was to strengthen the cordial relationship between the two sisterly institutions of both countries The Republic of Guinea Bissau and The Republic of The Gambia. Their visit to countries is part of their annual outreach programme.
Her Excellency and the team highlighted the historical and cultural relationships exist between the two countries The Gambia and Guinea Bissau. The Ambassador assured them her unflinching support during their visit in Bissau and the delegation were invited to a dinner hosted by Ambassador Fabureh at her residence.

42 Gambia Ports Authority Staff who are on a week industrial attachment as part of an agreement/understanding between GPA and APGB, pay a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of The Gambia in Guinea-Bissau.
The visit by GPA staff was to inform the mission staffs of their presence and mission in Bissau.
The staffs were received at the embassy by the Deputy Head of Mission.

STUDENTS OF HANDS ON ACADEMY - GAMBIA AND STAFF PAY COURTESY CALL VISIT TO THE GAMBIA MISSION IN BISSAU.
The students from grade 7 - 9 of Hands on Academy and their teachers visited The Gambia Embassy in Bissau as part of their vocational education tour.
The visit was ment to educate the students on the history, culture and bilateral relationship existing between Bissau and Banjul.
The students were warmly welcomed by H. E. the Ambassador and her lieutenants.

On the 24th to 27th of February 2025, the Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Muhammed B.S. Jallow accompanied by three Ministers, His Excellency Mamadou Tangara, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambian Abroad, Mr. Baboucar O. Joof, Minister of Commerce, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, Mr Sering Modou Njie, Minister of Defence of The Gambia and other Senior Staff of Government with some Gambian business Community.
The Purpose of the visit was to strengthen the existing bilateral relationship between the two countries.
During the friendship and working visit, the discussions were centred on key areas of cooperation such as to promote Trade and Investment, Defence, Tourism, Justice, Education, Fisheries, Agriculture, Road network and Maritime Transportation, Media and Culture.
A field visit was organized for the delegation. The first point of visit was Cashew Nut Processing Factory of Santy Commercial Group in Bra Industrial Zone, The Egg Production Factory at the former Agro-Safim Facility, C**A Facility, Alto Bandim Fishing Port and Antula Substation Facility.
