In effort to bring smiles to the faces of children.
On 2023-04-06 Inspector Chunia of La Grange Traffic Department, Sergeant 17753 Naraine, Corporals 19830 Singh, Beresford and two other ranks of Leonora Traffic Department, distributed four hundred and eighty kites within the No.1 Sub Region to partake in the Easter celebration.
The ranks were applauded for the act of kindness shown to the children as they celebrated Easter within the next few days.
They were told to fly their kites away from electric wires and to do so in open spaces.

On 2023-04-06 Guyana’s very own West Indies renowned Cricketer Kemo Paul and the Management of Fatboy General Store Vreed-En-Hoop, West Coast Demerara, donated one Microwave and Water Dispenser to staffs of Zara Computer Centre, Leonora Police Station, West Coast Demerara.
The hand over presentation was done in the Regional Conference Room to Senior Superintendent K. Mandall and Sergeant Allen on behalf of the Regional Commander Region No.3 Assistant Commissioner M. Siwnarine.
These items will be beneficial to the staffs and properly maintained.
The staffs thanked the donors for their generosity and acknowledgement.

Kite Distribution of Kites
On 2023-04-05 between 12:00 hrs and 17:30 hrs Second in-charge of No.2 Sub Region Cadet Officer Prince, Inspector Chunia of La Grange Traffic Department, Inspector Correira Inspector in-charge of Parfaite Police Station, Sergeant Jobe Subordinate Officer in-charge of the said station, Corporal 18927 Bechnie Subordinate Officer in-charge of Wales Police Station, Corporal 20215 Hugh and members of D-2 Community Policing Groups, distributed one thousand kites respectively to children of the No.2 Sub Region and Parfaite Harmonie Primary School, West Bank Demerara.
They were advised to fly their kites in open areas and avoid contact with electric wires and lamp poles.

On 2023-04-04 between 16:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs Sergeant 21458 Timmerman Subordinate officer in-charge of Leguan Police Station, NHP Singh and members of Leguan Youth Group, distributed two hundred (200) kites to children of Leguan Island.
Kite flying is popular and helps us learn the historical significance of the resurrection.
The children thanked the ranks for their consideration and kind gesture putting smiles on their faces as the Easter quickly approaches.

Youth Group Launched
On 2023-04-03 between 16:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs Sergeant 21458 Timmerman Subordinate Officer in-charge of Leguan Police Station, officially launched a Group Program at Greens Park Ground, Leguan Island with thirty youths.
Sergeant Timmerman in his opening remarks encouraged the youths to make use of all the opportunities afforded to them through the Guyana Police Force.
Youth is a worthwhile phase of one’s life.
Todays youths are in a haste of accomplishing different things and is so driven towards achieving them.
He also spoke to them on what is expected of them as members of the Police Youth Group such as their discipline.
Mrs. Fajina Khan, leader of the Progressive Woman’s Association of Leguan Island also appeal to the youths to take up their mantle and be good role models within their community.

On 2023-03-31 between 09:00 hrs and 13:50 hrs Woman Sergeant 22030 Jackman Subordinate Officer in-charge of La Grange Police Station and other ranks, did a Cleanup Campaign at La Grange Police Station in and around the perimeter of the station.
The first and foremost importance of cleanliness is the absence of disease.
Cleanliness helps us to stay refreshed and hygienic on a personal level.
It further lessons the chance of bacteria and virus to harm us, once the environment is kept clean.

During this time of year Easter celebration is recognized as kites fill the skies creating a colorful atmosphere depicting the meaning which is “The Resurrection of Christ”.

Noble Inspector in-charge of Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station, Woman Sergeant 20526 Evans Subordinate Officer in-charge of the said station, Detective Corporal 19835 Fraser , Constable 25581 Williams, NHP Brammer and members of the Station Management Committee, distributed four hundred kites to children of Crane Squatting Area, Phoneix Park, Pouderoyen Tarmac, Swan Street Squatting Area and Samaroo Dam respectively, West Bank Demerara.
Smiles and laughter were visible on the children's faces as they received their kites to celebrate their Easter Holiday.
They were advised to fly their kites away from lamp poles and electric wires.

Residents in the areas welcomed the initiative which will go a far way as the children prepare to celebrate Easter in advance.
They were also advised to fly their kites in open spaces.

Humphrey Inspector in-charge of Wales Police Station, Corporal Bechnie Subordinate Officer in-charge of the said station, Woman Inspector S.Noble, other ranks and Mr. Eldon Mc Gregor Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Defence Security Service, distributed kites to children of Belle West Phase 2, Canal No.2 Polder, West Bank Demerara and Vreed-en-Hoop Jetty Area respectively, West Coast Demerara.
Easter celebrates resurrection, which is symbolic of his crucifixion.
Kite flying symbolizes the ascension of Jesus into heaven, which is celebrated throughout the world.
This initiative will give the children the opportunity to start the celebration in advance.
Parents and children thanked Commander and team for their consideration and acknowledged them as they look forward to celebrating Christ resurrection within the next few days.
