Municipality of Georgetown - PPP Councillors

We, the PPP/C Councillors of the municipality of the City of Georgetown, hereby condemn the negative narrative being peddled by the Opposition Leader, seeming to intend the exacerbation of division and unrest in our communities, rather than to promote unity and harmony at a time when the Nation is mourning the loss of Andrianna Young.

We strongly condemn all actions of violence, looting, and destruction of both public and private property, critical infrastructure, as well as all other acts of lawlessness perpetrated in several areas across Georgetown and other parts of the country.

We fully agree with his Excellency President Ali and all other stakeholders in the call for peace and order to prevail throughout this beautiful country of ours. Those perpetrators responsible for inciting public unrest must be prosecuted for their actions.

May the Supreme Being grant the family and friends of little Andrianna closure and peace.
