Deen Furniture Wicker Rattan Works by Deen Douglas established in 2010. The company makes furniture for the living room, dining room and patio, Bar sets and Relax Chairs all from Wicker vine.
A & J Grocery, Craft & Agri Shop by Amanda Mahadeo established in 2014. The Shop sells Amerindian Handicraft such as fruit bowls, necklaces, hammocks and traditional clothing like straw skirts and mats made of straw.
This establishment is a member of the Guyana Arts and Craft Producers Association. Their products are made from the Tibisiri straw which is obtained from the Ite Palm. Items made from this product are well preserved and durable, they are of high quality with attractive designs and shapes.

South American Coco Company by Lois Rickford. Products include Lois Extra Virgin Coconut Oil which is Body and Hair oil with and without fragrance to treat dryness, flakes, itching and remove marks from all skin types and Lois Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Soap which is Bath soaps with and without fragrance to treat dryness, flakes, itching and remove marks from all skin types.
The South American Coco Company started in October 2012 with a small operation at Good Hope Gardens, East Coast Demerara, producing Lois’ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Original) with two employees. The Company has extended its operation in the West Coast of Berbice in 2013 as part of an expansion and increased product line. It utilizes the latest technology in its manufacturing processes. This gives the company great flexibility and adaptability to meet customer requirements. The company currently employs six persons, five of which are females and one male.
The Company produces 7 different products in three main product lines – Lois’ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, (Original), Lois’ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Scented) and Lois’ Lifespring Derma Care Soap.
The Production team takes pride in their ability to produce the finest quality products in a timely manner to fulfill each and every market acquired aiming to add at least one new product each year to their product line, all derived from Coconut.
