TRAINING || The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB), in collaboration with the National Plant Protection Organisation (NPPO) and the National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI), recently hosted two Farmers Awareness Training sessions in Hogg Island.

The sessions provided farmers with important information on the proper handling, use and management of pesticides and toxic chemicals, highlighting the importance of following safety guidelines and adopting responsible agricultural practices.

These initiatives form part of the PTCCB’s ongoing efforts to build stakeholder capacity and promote practices that protect farmers, consumers and the environment.

TRAINING || The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) on October 14 and 15, 2026, facilitated two Toxic Chemicals Training sessions for staff of Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI).

The sessions focused on the safe handling, storage and management of toxic chemicals in the workplace, reinforcing the importance of proper chemical safety practices within the workplace.
