【「 #開箱」今個夏天於大館再度展開！☀️】

「開箱」即將登場，邀請你走進美術館參與創作，成為作品的一部分。
​
這個由公眾共同參與的藝術項目，讓參加者攜手建構一件持續生長的藝術品。去年夏天，作品由一個花卉圖案開始，在展廳地面緩緩綻放；今年將延展至牆面及天花，由參與者共同創作紙藝樹冠，一個個微型風景將映照各自心中對「怡人之地」的想像與詮釋。
​
這片「怡人之地」由菲律賓藝術家賴恩．維拉馬爾構思。他持續探索紙材的各種可能性，在大館呈現大型紙材構築雕塑作品，探索遷移與歸屬之間的怡然之境。
​

This summer, Tai Kwun once again invites you to step inside the gallery and co-create a work of art.
​
𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘹, Tai Kwun's signature participatory art project, brings the public together to build a living, evolving installation. Last summer began with a single floral pattern spreading across the gallery floor. This year, the work expands onto the walls and ceiling of Tai Kwun, where visitors collaborate on a paper canopy, creating small landscapes inspired by their own idea of a “pleasant place.”
​
This “pleasant place” is conceived by Filipino artist Ryan Villamael, whose practice explores the possibilities of paper as a medium. Expansive and sculptural, this work reflects on migration and belonging, shaping a landscape of shared meaning.

Parents and children boarded the iconic "Ding Ding" tram, travelling together from Western District to Happy Valley while winding through the city's lively streets. By looking at old photos along the coastline, they sparked curiosity about how Hong Kong once looked and experienced the changes between people and the natural environment over the years. Children drew their own maps along the way 🗺️, building a deeper connection to the community and city around them.

「耀眼奪目的全新舞蹈鉅作」——《衛報》
​
一場融匯本地與國際視野的沉浸式舞蹈體驗，終於回到香港這個起源地。
​
由香港浸會大學研發的前瞻藝術科技，與國際舞蹈大師 Wayne McGregor 及其舞團，聯同香港芭蕾舞團舞者，以舞蹈交匯於超脫界限的立體沉浸式空間。觀眾自由遊走於虛擬舞者的異地中，隨形體與影像流動，展開一場重生的旅程。
​
這場超越空間的旅程，在第19屆威尼斯舞蹈雙年展的全球首映中啟航，其後亮相第82屆威尼斯國際電影節，並曾在倫敦西區 Stone Nest 獻映，國際藝術界好評不斷。巡演二地後，「異・地」將於今年 6 月登陸大館，呈獻亞洲首映。

“Shimmering new dance spectacular” – 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯

Enriched by global inspirations, this new immersive dance experience now returns to Hong Kong, where it began.
​
Developed by Hong Kong Baptist University, this pioneering art-tech encounter brings together global dancemaker superstar Wayne McGregor, his company and dancers from the Hong Kong Ballet. Within a boundary‑transcending 3D immersive space, audiences move among hyperreal realms, witnessing a shared language of movement unfold in a journey of rebirth.
​
This otherworldly journey premiered at the 19th International Festival of Contemporary Dance in Venice, was presented at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and later made its UK debut at Stone Nest in London’s West End – before arriving at Tai Kwun this Jun for its Asia premiere.
​

The Cantonese slang 𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘬 𝘻𝘺𝘶 𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘯𝘨 (loosely translated as “partner up”) is a vivid idiom that evokes people patting each other on the shoulder as they face hardships together. ​

Tai Kwun’s summer exhibition 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 – 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘴 explores the “team spirit” and “film spirit” of Hong Kong cinema through iconic classics spanning six decades, while spotlighting the compelling alliances that made them possible. Curated by director Sunny Chan Wing San, the exhibition hits rewind, revisiting memorable moments from films such as 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘙𝘰𝘴𝘦, 𝘈𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘎𝘰 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴, 𝘙𝘰𝘣 𝘕 𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘭 and more. ​
