Today we have received a wonderful offer from ICONMED training institute's Chairman Mr. Stephen Kwok for upskilling Bangladeshi Domestic Helpers into Caregiver at a very reasonable cost. We are expecting utilization of such offer would substantially upgrade our manpower market in Hong Kong which would be finally an economic gain for Bangladesh through enhancing the amount of remittance. Soon Consulate General is planning to launch care givers' short training session at its premise.

Consul General Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur and Vice Consul Mr. Md. Jakir Hossain visited the newly renovated office of EBL Finance HK Ltd today. Mr. Ishtiak Hasan, CEO of EBL Finance HK Ltd warmly received the Consul General. The Consul General highly appreciated the beautiful premise of the office. As a Bangladeshi company this is definitely a pride of Bangladesh in Hong Kong

পবিত্র ঈদ-উল -আজহা-২০২৬ উপলক্ষে গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী'র প্রেরিত শুভেচ্ছা বাণী-

বাংলাদেশ কনস্যুলেট জেনারেলে প্রথমবারের মত ঈদ উল আজহার পবিত্র নামাজ আয়োজিত হল।

ঈদের নামাজ শেষে কাওলুন মসজিদ সংলগ্ন প্রাঙ্গনে বাংলাদেশীদের মিলন মেলা সত্যিই অত্যন্ত উপভোগ্য। বিশেষ করে বাংলাদেশী স্বাদের চা এবং পিঠা পায়েস দেশের ঐতিহ্যর কথা মনে করিয়ে দেয়। হংকংস্থ বাংলাদেশ এসোসিয়েশন (BAHK) এর সভাপতি জনাব আশফাকুর রহমান পলাশ এবং সাধারণ সম্পাদক জনাব খাইরুল ইসলাম নিজামি কে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ ঈদ উপলক্ষে উৎসব মুখর আয়োজনটি করার জন্য।

The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong successfully hosted a Zoom Preparatory Consultation Meeting on the Potential Recruitment of Foreign Domestic Carers (FDC) for Hong Kong’s Elderly Care Sector.

The meeting was chaired by Consul General Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur and moderated by Consul (Labour) Mr. Zahidur Rahman.

We were honoured by the participation of Mr. Md. Hedayetul Islam Mandal, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Ms. Mispe Soren, second Secretary, Embassy of Bangladesh in Beijing, along with representatives from Hong Kong Employment Agencies, Bangladeshi Recruiting Agencies, and Caregiving Training Institutions.

The consultation aimed to strengthen coordination among key stakeholders and enhance Bangladesh’s preparedness for potential future opportunities in Hong Kong’s elderly care sector.
