寄養服務 讓孩子乘愛高飛 寄養服務為十八歲以下因特殊家庭情況而缺乏父母照顧的兒童，提供長期或短期的家庭式住宿照顧服務，讓他們繼續享受家庭生活，直至能夠與家人團聚...

香港作為國際大都會，在繁華背後仍有數以千計的兒童缺乏安穩家庭的照顧。上一年度，估計有超過 3,400 名孩子身處兒童住宿照顧系統中，沒有一個永久家庭。

「母親的抉擇」堅信每個孩子都值得擁有一個安全、關愛且永久的家。我們的兒童服務包含寄養服務、早期介入服務以及幼兒之家，致力與孩子及家庭並肩同行，陪伴他們走過人生中最艱難的低谷，為他們帶來安全、療癒與希望。

這個月我們將會帶大家深入了解這些服務，並分享以孩子為核心的動人故事，敬請密切留意！💛

Despite Hong Kong's cosmopolitan image, thousands of children are growing up without the safety of a family. In the past year, an estimated 3,400 children were living in the residential child care system without a permanent family.

At Mother's Choice, we believe every child deserves a safe, loving and permanent family. Our Children's Services, including Foster Care, Early Intervention Services and our Child Care Home, walk alongside children and families through life's hardest moments, offering safety, healing and hope.

This month, follow along as we share more about each of these services and the children at the heart of them 💛

今年，我們十分高興與香港中文大學新聞與傳播學院吳世家教授合作，走進其公共關係課堂，與同學分享「母親的抉擇」的服務和傳訊策略。其後，同學用了數月時間，為我們的不同服務構思公關計劃💡。

4月，同學向我們匯報計劃，當中有不少具深度、創意的想法，讓我們獲益良多。衷心感謝吳世家教授、一眾教職員和同學的熱誠、投入和用心參與。

改寫生命故事需要不同界別攜手同行。期待未來繼續與教育界和年輕一代連結，為社會燃點更多希望❤️。

This year, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Professor Chia Wu from the School of Journalism and Communication at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, joining her public relations class to share Mother’s Choice’s services and communications strategy. The students then spent several months developing PR plans for our services 💡.

In April, they presented their plans, sharing many thoughtful and creative ideas that gave us valuable insights. Our heartfelt thanks to Professor Wu, the faculty members and all the students for their passion and dedication.

Changing life stories requires collaboration across sectors. We look forward to continuing to connect with the education sector and the younger generation to bring more hope to our community ❤️.

Last week, Mother's Choice had the privilege of visiting The University of Hong Kong, marking a milestone in a partnership that began last year.

HKU's brilliant students (and the next generation of data scientists!) have joined hands with our IT and Youth Services teams in the final months of their studies. Last Friday they shared data-driven insights to deepen our work at Mother's Choice in supporting young girls navigating crisis pregnancies.

At Mother's Choice, we believe that impact is achieved through strong community partnerships and a commitment to evidence-based learning.

We're grateful to HKU (Faculty of Education, HKU) for walking this journey with us, and excited for what's ahead. 💛

上星期，我們很榮幸到訪香港大學，為去年開展的伙伴關係寫下重要里程碑。

眾多優秀的香港大學學生（以及未來的數據科學家）與我們的資訊科技團隊及青少年服務團隊攜手展開研究。上星期五，同學分享數據分析成果，協助深化「母親的抉擇」的服務，讓我們能為意外懷孕少女提供更適切的支援。

在「母親的抉擇」，我們相信，通過實證學習與堅實的社區伙伴關係，將可成就更深遠的影響。

We're proud to share that Havas X Mother's Choice has won Bronze at The Drum Awards Marketing APAC 2026 in the Social Purpose category! 🥉 The Drum Awards is a global awards programme celebrating excellence in marketing and media.

Our campaign focused on finding new foster family leads, and we’re thrilled to share that we achieved 87% more leads than our target.

None of this would have been possible without Havas Hong Kong, whose generous pro-bono partnership allowed us to direct every dollar of our budget toward our services, as well as the support of our foster families and community.

Joining the government's Ordinary Foster Care programme was a big step for Mother's Choice, yet too many children remained waiting, sometimes for years. ⏳

We could not stand by. Through innovation and pilot programmes, we developed Project Bridge, our unique community-led foster care model. It truly took a village; government partners, NGOs, corporate champions, and our community came together to stand behind every foster family - and every child. 🤝✨

At the heart of this journey is a promise: to keep children safe. Our Child Protection Programme equips everyone involved to safeguard the children we serve. Today, we are proud to be recognised by Keeping Children Safe, a global network united in protecting vulnerable children. 💛

In the 1990s, we saw a simple but powerful truth: children thrive in families 🏠

So we turned to our community. Volunteer families opened their hearts and homes to vulnerable children, even if only for a short time. Those early moments changed lives, giving children comfort, belonging, and hope ✨

By 1993, this momentum led us to join the government’s Ordinary Foster Care service, helping even more children feel the warmth of a family whilst they waited for a permanent home.

Since 1987, our vision has been simple: Every child in a loving family.

For children who can't be with their forever family right away, we've always believed they thrive best in a family environment. And so, for over 30 years, we've worked to make foster care possible for as many children as we can.

We've made incredible progress. Today, we offer two streams of fostering, giving even more children the chance to grow up surrounded by love. Because whilst foster care may be temporary, the warmth a child experiences in those early years can shape a lifetime.

5 月 17 日，我們的行政總裁蕭加欣出席了社會福利署舉辦的「2026寄養家庭服務獎頒獎典禮」，與社署署長杜永恒先生, JP及超過 200 個寄養家庭一同慶祝，並表揚他們多年來用愛心照顧寄養兒童 💛

10個來自「母親的抉擇」的寄養家庭亦獲得獎項嘉許。有些家長起初只打算提供短期的緊急照顧，至今卻已默默為無數孩子提供一個安穩的家長達30多年，充分展現了寄養服務改變生命的強大力量。

在「母親的抉擇」，我們非常榮幸能夠與各個寄養家庭並肩同行，攜手實踐「每個孩子都擁有一個關愛的家」的遠景。寄養安排或許只是暫時的，但孩子在寄養家庭中感受到的愛，卻會成為滋養他們一生的力量。

On 17 May, our CEO Sky Siu joined the Social Welfare Department’s Foster Families Service Award Presentation Ceremony 2026, celebrating with Director of Social Welfare, Mr TO Wing Hang, Edward, JP, and over 200 foster families for the years of love and care they’ve poured into foster children.

10 foster families from Mother’s Choice were awarded in the ceremony. Some parents who first signed up to offer short-term emergency care have now been opening their homes for over 30 years, showing just how powerful fostering can be.
