It was a pleasure to welcome the talented Belgian drag queen Edna Sorgelsen, where she spoke about her personal experiences as she stepped into the world of drag.

The event, co-organized with Current Plans art gallery, also featured a range of artist sharings, where participants explored how they navigated different identities.

Last week, the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs started his first mission to China through Hong Kong. In just over a day, Mr. PrΓ©vot held a series of meetings, including with Chief Executive John Lee and Financial Secretary Paul Chan, during which all topics were discussed candidly.

Keen to assess the state of economic and trade relations between Europe and China and to identify opportunities for Belgium, the Minister gathered valuable insights during his visit to Cainiao’s e-Hub at Hong Kong International Airport. Thanks to InvestHK, a flyover of the Northern Metropolis allowed Mr. PrΓ©vot to appreciate the scale of this project and the potential for economic cooperation. A briefing on the shipping sector, organised by the Belgian-founded company Anglo-Eastern, provided an opportunity to express our country’s solidarity with the crew of a ship stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.

This stopover in Hong Kong was also about meeting the Belgian community and celebrating with our Hong Kong partners and friends the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of Belgium in 1926.

Thank you to everyone who made this mission a major milestone in the relations between Belgium and Hong Kong!

✨ Last chance to register for the seminar on "Investing in Art and Luxury" ✨

Already a week of events and sharing on the theme of art as part of β€œThe Belgian Days MEET the Art Week”

The final gathering of this exceptional sequence will take place this Saturday, March 28 at 7PM, bringing together perspectives from the worlds of contemporary art and high-end trade. The evening will be moderated by the art specialist Felix Kwok, who will guide a conversation exploring how different sectors approach the idea of investing in art, not only as a financial asset, but also as a cultural, emotional, and long-term value. Through dialogue and shared insight, the speakers will present their personal visions on collecting, creating, and investing in art and luxury objects, and how these worlds increasingly intersect in today’s global cultural economy.

There are 5 places left for this event ! οƒ  RSVP TO [email protected] or WhatsApp +32471506968
