Programme Director Shares Insights at HKCSS Seminar on Talent Arrival: The Impact and Beyond
本社服務總監在社聯《人才來了，帶來了甚麼》討論會上分享

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) hosted a seminar series, "Talent Arrival: The Impact and Beyond," exploring how Hong Kong’s talent reforms affect the economy, employment, and social landscape.

At the second session on April 23, Ms. Iris Liu, Programme Director of ISS-HK, shared her expertise on serving people on the move. She analyzed the unique needs of talent families and the factors driving their long-term settlement, highlighting how social services can adapt to better facilitate their integration with society.

The event also featured Professor Lui Tai-lok (EdUHK) and Ms. Sarah Cheuk (Fano Labs), who discussed how societal and corporate strategies can engage talent to create a "win-win" outcome for both newcomers and the local community.

社聯擬舉辦三節《人才來了，帶來了甚麼？》討論會及工作坊，邀得各界代表探討本港人才措施改革以來，對經濟、就業、教育和社會的影響。

在4月23舉辦的第二節討論會中，香港國際社會服務社服務總監廖錦鳳女士應邀分享多年來服務流動人口的經驗，並從專業社工角度剖析人才家庭的特徵與需要。廖總監並分析了甚麼關鍵條件促使他們長遠留港發展，以及社福機構如何迎接社會新需要及推動人才共融。

香港教育大學社會科學與政策研究學系客席研究講座教授呂大樂教授及有光集團有限公司人力資源負責人卓麗珊女士亦分享了宏觀社會及企業如何引導人才共同參與建設香港，與本地人共享「多贏」局面。

The Community Chest Disburses “Home Settlement Assistance Grant” to each Wang F*k Court Household
公益金向宏福苑每戶發放「及時雨安居資助金」

The Community Chest launches a second round of disbursement to help affected households in the Wang F*k Court fire to meet relocations and refurbishment needs. A “Home Settlement Assistance Grant” of HK$57,000 will be disbursed to each Wang F*k Court household between 4 to 29 May.

Eligible residents of Wang F*k Court are required to return to the specific assessment centres of their first-round application to collect this subsidy. As one of the Rainbow Fund assessment centres, International Social Service Hong Kong Branch will contact residents who successfully applied for "The Community Chest Tai Po Fire Relief Fund" through ISSHK in the first round to arrange registration and appointments for cheque collection.

公益金宣布推出第二輪援助方案，協助宏福苑住戶順利過渡至新居所，將於5月4日至29日期間，向每戶宏福苑住戶發放港幣57,000元「及時雨安居資助金」，協助受助家庭為新居添置傢俬、家庭用品及其他基本生活所需，紓緩因重置居所所帶來的經濟負擔。

合資格的宏福苑居民須返回第一輪申請的批核中心領取是次資助金，香港國際社會服務社作為其中一間承辦機構，將會聯絡第一輪成功於本社申請「公益金及時雨大埔火災援助基金」的居民，登記並預約領取支票。

2026 Medical and Health and Medical Social Work Exchange Tour
2026醫療健康公益與醫務社會工作交流會

The 2026 Medical and Health Philanthropy and Medical Social Work Exchange was held last Thursday and Friday. Co-hosted by China Philanthropy Times and the Guangdong Social Workers Association, the event was organized by the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch (Hong Kong, China) Guangdong Office.

ISSHK arranged a series of site visits at several Hong Kong institutions for the delegation, including Heep Hong Society, Christian Family Service Centre, and the Hong Kong Children's Hospital. These visits provided insights into primary healthcare, pediatric care, and rehabilitation, showcasing the diversity and professionalism of Hong Kong’s "medical-social collaboration."

A seminar was held at the Shenzhen Luohu Women and Children's Building on Friday, where the RED National Medical Social Work Development Report was released. The report provides essential data to help the industry implement the "Healthy China" strategy while promoting professional systemization.

Mr. Stephen Yau, Chief Executive of ISS-HK, addressed the audience and stated that medical social workers are a vital bridge between healthcare and social welfare. He noted that the industry can progress by combining Hong Kong’s mature system with the mainland’s innovation. Industry veterans from China’s social welfare sector also attended and engaged in meaningful discussions, encouraging deeper professional collaboration within the Greater Bay Area.

為深入實踐健康中國戰略，推動全國醫務社會工作專業化發展，由《公益時報》社及廣東省社會工作師聯合會共同主辦，香港國際社會服務社(中國香港)廣東辦事處 承辦的「2026醫療健康公益與醫務社會工作交流會」在上星期四及五順利舉辦。

今次交流會行程充實而富有啟發性，國際社安排到訪團實地走訪多個香港機構，包括協康會、基督教家庭服務中心、香港兒童醫院等，了解香港基層醫療服務、兒童醫療與康復訓練，見證了香港「醫社合作」的多元與專業。

大會的座談會於深圳羅湖區婦兒大廈舉行，會上發布的《RED全國醫務社會工作發展現狀報告》，提供了重要的數據，為業界落實健康中國戰略與《慈善法》精神，推動醫療健康公益及醫務社會工作專業化及系統化提供重要指標作用。

國際社行政總裁邱浩波先生在致辭中表示，醫務社工是連結醫療與社福的重要橋樑，香港醫務社工體制成熟，而內地在服務創新同資源整合上表現卓越，兩地取長補短，定能推動醫務社工業界邁向新里程。中國社會工作聯合會副會長周冰先生及廣東省社會工作聯合會會長關冬生先生亦出席致辭，鼓勵大灣區醫務社工專業深度交流協作。

在交流會上，多位醫務社工代表圍繞各地的經驗、實踐模式及行業困境，深入分享與討論，共同探索醫務社工未來路向。

Social Work Run 2026
2026社工長跑

To celebrate the World Social Work Day, over 60 colleagues, family members and service users from ISSHK took part in the Social Work Run 2026 on 12 April at the Ma On Shan Promenade. As one of the supporting organizations of the event, we helped promote unity within the social work profession and a healthy lifestyle through this meaningful sporting event.

Our team participated in various events, including the 5km and 3km Individual Races, 4x1km Team Relay, and 3km Fun Walk. Every participant gave their all, showcasing team spirit and strengthening bonds between colleagues and the community.

Our Programmer Directors, Mr. Kerin Cham and Ms. Iris Liu (also a Board Member of Hong Kong Social Workers Association), represented the organization at the opening ceremony. Mr. Cham also officiated the 3km Individual Race kickoff, cheering on all participants.

為嚮應世界社工日，本社逾60位同工、家屬及服務使用者於4月12日齊集馬鞍山海濱長廊，參與「同行共跑 - 社工長跑2026」，本社是活動支持機構之一，期望透過體育競技，推廣社工界團結的力量，同時實踐身心健康的專業形象。

活動賽事豐富，本社健兒分別出戰5公里個人賽、3公里個人賽、3公里同行漫步及4 × 1公里團體接力賽。 比賽期間，所有參賽者均全力投入，充分展現「並肩同行」的體育精神。

另外，服務總監兼香港社會工作人員協會理事廖錦鳳女士及服務總監湛國榮先生代表機構出席大會典禮，湛國榮先生並主持了3公里個人賽的起步禮，為健兒加油打氣。

ISS’ Got Talent Scholarship 2025 Prize Presentation Ceremony cm Talent Showcase
國際社展才藝2025頒獎典禮暨才藝表演

The ISS’ Got Talent Scholarship 2025 Award Ceremony cm Talent Showcase was held on 1 March 2026. Celebrating the 5th edition of the campaign, the show took place in Yau Tong Domain Mall for the first time and attracted over 150 attendees and numerous passersby.

Staunch supporters of the programme joined us at the occasion, including Mr. Jason Chow, Senior Manager of Corporate Marketing and Planning from Optimix (Hong Kong), Mr. Chit Wong, vocal music teacher from Baron School of Music, Ms. Shazza Ho, Principal of Bloom Dance Academy, Dr Hugo Wong, Director of Tesco Education Group and Ms. Ammy Ho, Founder of Papabubble Hong Kong. Famous actress Ms. Konnie Lui, who is also the Director of Tesco Education Group and a judge for the campaign, was unable to attend the occasion due to work commitments but sent her blessings and encouragement via a video message.

The show dazzled audiences with a vibrant mix of martial arts, flute, Indian dance, and diabolo performances, all delivered by award-winning children and teenagers who earned waves of enthusiastic applause. Adding to the excitement, singers Nicky Hung and Lunar Chan from the Baron School of Music, together with Bloom Dance Academy’s Bravo team, delivered extraordinary performances to further impress the audience.

Scholarships and merit certificates were also presented to winners of the kids and teenagers groups, with each recipient receiving $10,000 or $4,000 to pursue their talents. The winners of the “My Favourite Star Award” and the “Social Worker Recommendation Award” were also announced. While the former honoured the performer with the highest number of votes from the public, the latter was recommended by our social workers to recognize a service user who demonstrated potential and perseverance despite various family limitations.

The event concluded with ISS-HK Chief Executive Mr. Stephen Yau presenting souvenirs created by Visual Arts winners to each sponsor and supporting organisation. Let's hope our winners gain will hone their skills, unlock their potential, and shine even brighter on stage next year!

國際社展才藝2025頒獎典禮暨才藝表演於3月1日圓滿舉行，為慶祝活動的五週年，此次頒獎典禮首次移師油塘大本型舉辦，吸引逾150人出席，亦有不少街坊駐足觀看。

大會邀得奧迪美（香港）有限公司企業市場及策劃高級經理周卓毅先生、伯樂音樂學院聲樂系導師黃哲先生、Bloom Dance Academy校長何珈嶢女士、德高教育集團董事王駿雄博士，以及Papabubble 創辦人何詠欣出席。身兼德高教育集團董事的知名演員呂慧儀女士當天因工作未能出席，不過亦透過短片向參加者送上祝福及鼓勵。

典禮邀請應屆得獎兒童及青少年上台表演，包括武術、笛子、印度舞及扯鈴，精湛演出贏得熱烈掌聲。伯樂音樂學院歌手熊力衡及陳穎，以及Bloom Dance Academy的Bravo舞蹈團隊，亦帶來勁歌熱舞，帶動現場氣氛。

頒獎環節中，各贊助商頒發兒童組及青少年組獎學金與優異獎，每位得獎者獲港幣10,000元或4,000元發展才藝。另外，現場還公布了「我最喜愛人氣之星」及「社工專業推介大獎」的得主 ，除了嘉許最受矚目的表演者，亦讓社工根據參賽者的個人能力、成長背景及家庭經濟狀況推薦，鼓勵在困難的環境下仍然堅持夢想的參加者。最後，本社行政總裁邱浩波先生致送得獎者親繪感謝狀予贊助商及支持單位，以表謝意。希望各得獎者藉此活動獲得更多資源深造才藝，發揮潛能、一展所長！

Our newly opened HOPE Interpretation and Translation Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities in Tai Wo Hau received VIPs on New Year's Eve. Thank you for your trust and support, and we look forward to serving more EM residents in the community and help them overcome language barriers in their daily lives.
在除夕，本社新開張的HOPE少數族裔傳譯及翻譯服務中心迎來重要訪客。感謝當局的信任和支持，位於大窩口的中心將接觸更多社區內的少數族裔居民，幫助他們克服在日常生活中遇到的語言障礙。

Chinese Immigrant Service Agencies Network International(CISANI) Conference 2025 Successfully Concludes in Hong Kong
2025年華人移民服務機構聯會會議圓滿舉行

Thirty-four social service veterans from the US, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan joined the CISANI Conference 2025 in Hong Kong from 17 to 21 November. The Agency arranged conference sessions, visits and gatherings in Hong Kong and Shenzhen for delegates to explore this year’s theme, “Ageing Service in a Highly Mobile Society.”

Highlight of the week was the Conference attended by over 90 participants on 18 November at M+, where Professor Terry Lum, Henry G. Leong Professor in Social Work and Social Administration of The University of Hong Kong, and Mr. Tan Tick Yee, BBS, Principal Advisor (Elderly Services) of Social Welfare Department, as well as seasoned social workers from the CISANI network shared their unique perspectives and frontline experiences. Delegates gave very positive feedback and expressed their gratitude to the Agency for hosting this meaningful event.

來自美國、澳洲、紐西蘭及台灣等地共34位社會服務資深同工，於11月17日至21日齊聚香港，參與「2025年國際華人移民服務機構聯會大會」。是次大會由本社籌辦，為與會者安排了一系列專題研討、機構參訪及交流活動，並結合香港與深圳兩地考察，深入探討本屆主題—「高度流動社會中的長者服務」。

重點活動為11月18日於M+舉行的專題研討會，吸引超過90位參加者出席。香港大學社會工作及社會行政學系梁顯利基金教授席（社會工作及社會行政學）林一星教授、社會福利署首席顧問（安老服務）陳德義先生,BBS，以及國際華人移民服務機構聯會的成員代表，於會上分享了寶貴的研究及見解，以及前線服務經驗。與會者對活動予以高度評價，並感謝本社籌辦此次年度大會，認為此行收穫豐富，意義深遠。
