In this session we will show easy ways to learn German by introducing free websites (Sprachportal, Deutsch.info) and innovative learning apps (DERDIEDAS-App and deutsch.Intro-App) to you. You will also get some tips for using Austrian newspapers, radio and television stations for learning German. Furthermore, we will explain the online course offers of Österreich Institut.

🎞️🏳️‍🌈 Macao will host the 4th edition of the Macao International Q***r Film Festival.

MIQFF aims to celebrate & promote LGBTQ+ filmmaking by showcasing diverse and thought-provoking q***r narratives from around the world. The festival is designed to provide LGBTQ+ filmmakers with a platform to tell their stories and to foster cultural exchange and dialogue regarding the portrayal of q***r people in cinema.

This year Austria is represented by the film "𝗘𝗜𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥" directed by David Wagner.

🛈 Sergeant Major Eismayer is known and feared as the toughest training officer in the Austrian Armed Forces. But when he starts to fall in love with Falak, a new recruit who unashamedly embraces his homosexuality, Eismayer’s closeted existence is shaken to the core. Will he choose to protect his badass tough guy image over all else, or can he follow his heart and his true desire? Inspired by a true story.

Consul General Dr. Gerhard ZETTL joined Trade Commissioner Jennifer VEIGEL in presenting 7 Austrian sustainable fashion brands to relevant partners in Hong Kong.

The Austrian Sustainable Fashion Initiative launched and carried out by Advantage Austria Hong Kong enjoys active support by the Austrian Consulate General as part of ReFocus Austria, a concerted global outreach program to open up new markets for Austrian businesses and to strengthen Austria as a business location.

𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 - 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 🎬

This year the Infinite Frames Short Film Festival 2026 featured 10 short films produced by students from the University of Hong Kong, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Television and Film Munich, The Film Academy of Miroslav Ondříček in Písek, Czech Republic, and the Viennese director Georg Tiller. It explored the state of transformation in today's contemporary culture through the powerful lens of moving images. 🎞️

The films showcased the students’ diverse creativity in tackling the challenge of integrating artificial intelligence into production processes—a fascinating and timely topic that was also discussed during a public discussion with invited professional filmmakers and students to inform the audience about the fruitful potential of filmmaking with Generative AI (GenAI).

We extend our special appreciation to Nikolas Ettel, the Austrian researcher and lecturer at the University of Hong Kong and Associate Curator at the University Museum and Art Gallery, who took the initiative to organize this valuable academic and artistic collaboration project and served as the festival’s host and moderator.
