This 1 February 2026 (Sunday), the Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant opens its doors from 12:00–5:00 PM for a special Fun Day, featuring exhibitions, games, performances, and a guided visit of about 2 hours.

As we face this distressing situation, we are reminded of the valor and dedication of our first responders who are working tirelessly to contain the blaze. We commend the firefighters who bravely risk their lives on the front lines, and we mourn the loss of one of their own in this heroic effort.

In the true spirit of Hong Kong, we witness remarkable acts of solidarity. Hotels opening their doors to those displaced, citizens volunteering with supplies, and countless individuals coming together to lend a helping hand highlight our city’s resilience and compassion.

During these challenging times, let us unite in our support for one another. We urge everyone to keep the victims, their families, and our emergency services in your thoughts and prayers. Together, we will navigate through this hardship and emerge stronger as a community.

It’s my daily pause, I take this time to wonder, listen to music, people-watch, and take in the surreal mix of skyline, water, and the strange, brilliant energy of Hong Kong”.

🎯 Fiestas Patrias bring Chile’s traditions to life—from skillful games like emboque and rayuela to the thrill of greasy pole climbing. Spring skies fill with colorful volantines (kites), while the rodeo kicks off its season as the nation’s beloved sport. Across towns and cities, military and school parades march proudly, showcasing Chile’s unity and spirit.

🎉 Chile’s Fiestas Patrias come alive in fondas and ramadas—colorful party spots filled with music, flags, and joy. Here, you’ll find empanadas, anticuchos, and sopaipillas, washed down with chicha, pisco, or the famous Terremoto. And of course, the cueca takes center stage, with couples waving handkerchiefs in a playful dance of courtship that symbolizes Chile’s spirit.

“El Dieciocho” on September 18 marks Chile’s first step toward independence in 1810. The nation comes alive with fondas, cueca dancing, chicha, pisco, rodeos, games, and kite flying—festivities that light up the country for days. 🇨🇱🎉 .
