Welcome to the Hong Kong Transport and Logistics Association (HKTLA). Established in 1994 as the Hong Kong Sea Transport Association (HKSTA), we are a non-profit organisation with members from shipping, freight forwarding and logistics companies. In view of the growing importance and diversity of logistics in Hong Kong, the Association was renamed the Hong Kong Sea Transport and Logistics Associat
ion Limited in May 2003, and in May 2024 its English name was officially changed to “Hong Kong Transport and Logistics Association Limited” (HKTLA). HKTLA has set up various sub-committees to serve our members, including membership and election, external affairs, public relations, recreation and sports, training, SME support and mentoring, trade information and technology, and youth leadership. We organise seminars and workshops with professional guest speakers on shipping and logistics topics, terminal and port visits, and training courses to enhance professional standards in Hong Kong’s transport and logistics industry. Through these activities, shipping companies, forwarders, logistics and other agents have an authoritative voice and representation within the government and across private-sector industries, both in Hong Kong and overseas. We promote the shipping and logistics industry in general and help members identify opportunities in new markets. HKTLA holds annual sports tournaments for members, as well as company visits, exhibitions, seminars and training activities. Our major social gatherings now include an Association Anniversary Celebration held around July and a Christmas Party in December. The Association remains committed to promoting members’ interests, strengthening communication with relevant authorities and business associations, and actively assisting members in business development and market exploration.
