🌡️ Frost's Descent (Shuangjiang) is the final solar term of autumn. It doesn't mean that frost is falling but rather signifies a large temperature difference between day and night. The weather becomes dry, making it easy to suffer from a dry mouth and dry throat.

✅ Hydrate & Gently Replenish

Teachers and students can try adding these to their diet:

🍐 For deep hydration: snow pears, apples, honey, and snow fungus.
🎃 For digestive & lung health: Chinese yams, pumpkins, lotus seeds, and lily bulbs.

🌟Paywalls, Unlocked - A very brief introduction to Transformative Agreements🌟

Imagine a library waving 🪄 a magic wand—not just helping you read research, but helping the world read yours for free.

That’s the idea behind a transformative agreement. Traditionally, libraries paid publishers subscription fees so their researchers could access 📖 articles behind paywalls.

Meanwhile, researchers pay separate 💰 article-processing charges to publish open access.

A transformative agreement changes that model. A library covers the costs for the researchers by ✨ redirecting part of the subscription payments toward covering the cost to publish articles open access.

The goal is a transition from paywalls to Open Access, making research outputs 🔓 freely available online for anyone to read and reuse.

Check out transformative agreements (TA) at HKU Libraries!
