1️⃣ From Print to Digital: Transforming Traditional Thematic Catalogues into Dynamic Resources for Musicology—Advantages, Challenges, and Prospects for Future Research

👨‍💻 Prof. David Chung (Professor and Director, Academy of Music)⁠

🎼 Seventeenth-Century French Harpsichord Music Online (SFHO) is an open-access catalogue of over 1,200 historical works. This presentation will highlight how technology and scholarship intersect to build modern digital resources for music research.

2️⃣ Digital Scholarship in Translation and Interpreting Studies: Insights from the Chinese/English Translation and Interpreting Learner Corpus (CETILC)

👩🏼‍💻 Prof. Jun Pan (Professor, Department of Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies; Acting Director, Centre for Translation)

📝 This presentation will show how the Chinese/English Translation and Interpreting Learner Corpus (CETILC) uses digital scholarship to advance translation studies. Through three case studies, it will demonstrate how analyzing large learner datasets helps uncover language patterns and evaluate AI-generated text.

3️⃣ The Human Factor in the Digital Archive of Danny Yung's Theatrical Works with Zuni Icosahedron

👩🏼‍💻 Prof. Jessica Ingham-Yeung (Independent Scholar; Former Associate Professor, Department of Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies)

🎭 Digital tools have advanced humanities research, but they can also lead to an overemphasis on technology rather than human insight. Drawing on the experience of building the Digital Archive of the Digital Archive of Danny Yung's Theatrical Works with Zuni Icosahedron, this presentation will demonstrate that human empathy and the concept of *techne* must remain at the core of digital scholarship.

✨ It is our distinct honor to feature Prof. Meredith Martin—Professor of English and Director of the Center for Digital Humanities at Princeton University—as our keynote speaker, presenting her address titled "Digital Scholarship for the Future.”⁠

🗣️ In this talk, Meredith Martin will discuss about her experience first creating and then leading a successful Digital Humanities Center and the subsequent creation of a Digital Scholarship unit in Princeton University’s Library that works closely with but does not duplicate the work of the Center for Digital Humanities. What is the difference between Digital Scholarship and Digital Humanities? Though guided by similar values and best practices, Martin will talk about the key distinctions between the two fields and how librarians can navigate the fast-changing information landscape in proactive rather than reactive ways.⁠
