Use HPGe detector to test a batch of wipe samples for checking surface contamination for a facility. Due to short half-life of targeted Nuclide, the test must be done without extra delay. Measurement was done by midight.

Radioactivity test for a batch of environmental samples, including soil, sand, sea water and grass. To make precise measurements at near background level, sample and liquid nitrogen cooled HPGe detector are placed in lead chamber. It takes more than 10 hours to collect sufficient data for a sample.

Calibration and selection of TLDs. It was found that the sensitivity for this batch of TLDs (6*4=24) is within +/-5% from their mean reading. They are all selected for further use.
