Consulate General of Malaysia in Hong Kong and Macao

On 9 June 2026, Consul General Muzambli Markam received a courtesy visit from 20 Malaysian officials participating in the “High-Impact Public Service Delivery: Speed, Quality, and Citizen-Centred Excellence in the Malaysian Public Service” course in Hong Kong.

The officials are attending this course under the Program Pengurusan Strategik dan Pembangunan Eksekutif Kompeten (PROSPEK) sponsored by the Public Service Department (JPA). The programme is co-organised by the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) and Sunway Business School.

As part of the course, the officials will engage with Hong Kong’s public and private sectors to learn from the city’s world-class standards in public service delivery and ease of doing business.

On 2 June 2026, Consul General Muzambli Markam graced the HKUST Unicorn Day 2026, one of Hong Kong's flagship innovation and entrepreneurship events. The event was officiated by Prof. SUN D**g, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the HKSAR.

Consul General’s participation underscores Malaysia’s strong commitment to fostering innovation, deepening tech collaboration and strengthening people-to-people ties between Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The Consulate General and its agencies will be closed on Monday, 1 June 2026 in conjunction of the Birthday of His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong

The Consulate General and its agencies will resume operations on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.

On 30 April 2026, Consul General Muzambli Markam welcomed students and teachers from three Hong Kong secondary schools — Tak Nga Secondary School, St. Joseph’s College and Tung Chung Catholic School — under the “Connecting with ASEAN, Broadening Global Horizons” Consulate Visit and Exchange Programme.

The programme was in coordination with the Hong Kong Subsidised Secondary Schools Council and aimed to provide students with valuable first-hand exposure to Malaysia and the ASEAN region, while enhancing their cross-cultural understanding and communication skills.
