Meaningful Hiking

Thank you to all the hikers who joined today! 🌿🥾

We continued our Kéktúra journey right where we left off in March, setting out from Dorog and making our way to Mogyorósbánya through landscapes near the Danube. Along the way, we covered 16.5 km, conquered three hills, collected four-five stamps, and shared countless conversations surrounded by spring flowers in full bloom.

Another beautiful section of the National Blue Trail completed together, step by step, story by story💙

🚆 Meeting & Travel Details
We’ll meet at Árpád híd Bus Station between 7:55 and 8:10 AM and travel together to Dorog. The bus leaves at 8:15 AM. Please arrive on time. The hike will finish in Mogyorósbánya.

Tomorrow’s weather in Dorog is expected to be partly cloudy with periods of sunshine. Early morning temperatures will be around 7°C, rising to approximately 22°C during the afternoon hours. There is a possibility of light rain in the afternoon.

Come prepared and bring a light jacket to ensure comfort throughout the day.

- Comfortable hiking boots
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Backpack with water (min. 2L), snacks, and lunch
- Hungary Pass or single ticket (Pest County and Monthly Budapest Pass dont work)
- Cash (for emergencies)

What is the Kéktúra Booklet & where can you get one?📘🥾

If you’re joining our upcoming hike and planning to collect stamps, you may want your Kéktúra booklet (Kéktúra igazolófüzet) 🇭🇺

This booklet is your official hiking passport for the National Blue Trail. At every stamping point along the route, you can place a unique stamp inside to prove you’ve completed that section. Over time, it becomes a great personal record of your journey across Hungary 🇭🇺

Where can you buy the booklet?
You can usually purchase it at:
• MTSZ (Hungarian Hiking Association) offices
• Decathlon stores
• Mountex stores

If you do not have one yet but want to start collecting stamps on this hike, now’s the perfect time to get your booklet and begin the adventure!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this hike such a great experience! Together we continued our journey along the National Blue Trail (Kéktúra), collecting more stamps and sharing the trail. From Piliscsaba to Dorog (OKT 12)📘, we covered almost 19 km, a solid and rewarding day out on a moderate route.

It’s amazing to see the group growing and the booklets filling up step by step. Thank you for your energy, teamwork, and positive spirit throughout the hike.

🚆 Meeting & Travel Details

We’ll gather in front of the main train schedule display at Budapest Nyugati Train Station between 8:30 and 8:45 AM and travel together to Piliscsaba. The train leaves at 8:51 AM. The hike will finish in Dorog, where we can take a train to come back to the city

If you need help buying your train ticket, please come a bit earlier so we have time to sort it out before departure. The trains can get busy on weekends, and we’ll want to board together.
