On January 13, the Ambassador awarded the medals of the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2025 to the students of the Kerek Nap Art School in Magyarpolány at the Embassy.

The Kerek Nap Art School in Magyarpolány has been participating in International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice for many years and regularly manages to win awards for its works. In 2025, in addition to the individual awards of individual students, the school itself also received a medal for its collection of graphics.

Individual medals were awarded to Boglárka Végh and Szófia Gortva. Teacher Tibor Csabai received the medal awarded to the school for the collection of graphics of students Annabella Hájas, Júlianna Naszódi, Mia Vágner and Szaffi Vágner.

The Ambassador thanked the awarded children for their contribution to the exhibition and praised their efforts and creativity in their work. She also thanked the teacher Tibor Csabai and the Kerek Nap Art School for the work and effort they dedicate to the children.

The International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice was founded in 1967 to honour the memory of the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice during the Second World War and all other children who died in war conflicts. More than 25,000 works of art from 70-80 countries of the world regularly participate in this international competition.

On December 10, Ambassador Eva Dvořáková visited the city of Debrecen, where she met with Mayor László Papp, Hajdú-Bihar County Council Chairman Zoltán Pajna, and visited the Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mayor László Papp highlighted the fruitful bilateral relations with the partner city of Brno, especially the very active cooperation in the cultural field. Given the dynamic development of Debrecen, both sides expressed interest in closer cooperation between Czech entities and local authorities and companies in the fields of transport, energy, and industry.

H.E. Eva Dvořáková discussed with Zoltán Pajna, chairman of the Hajdú-Bihar County Council, the possibilities of school exchanges in primary, secondary, and vocational education. At the same time, cross-border cooperation within EU programs and the possibilities of involvement in projects of the International Visegrad Fund were discussed.

The Ambassador also spoke with Secretary General Éva Skultéti and Vice President of the Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Commerce and Industry Péter Nagy about preparations for a business mission of Czech companies to the region, with an emphasis on the energy, transport, and healthcare sectors.

On December 10, Ambassador Eva Dvořáková visited the Ferenc Kazinczy Elementary School in Debrecen and the Igazgyöngy Foundation Art School in Berettyóújfalu, where she presented the students with awards from the The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.

Hungarian schools have been participating in the The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice for many years and each year they send dozens of drawings by their pupils to the competition. They regularly succeed in winning awards for their works. This year was no exception.

The Ambassador presented the The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice's honorable mention to students Dia Réka Kulcsár and Laura Hegedűs from the Kazinczy Ferenc Elementary School in Debrecen and Valentina Letícia Kiss, Jázmina Fedóra Krucsó and Dorka Puskár from the Igazgyöngy Foundation Art School in Berettyóújfalu.

Her Excellency thanked the award-winning children for their contribution to the exhibition and praised their efforts and creativity in their work. She also thanked the schools and their teachers for their work and efforts dedicated to the children.

H.E. Eva Dvořáková led the Czech delegation on the meeting of Ministers of Interior of the Visegrad Group that took place in Budapest on 20th October 2025. The meeting was organised by the Hungarian Presidency of the V4 and dealt with issues related to online fraud, the state of play of integrated border management and the exchange of information to promote road safety.

On September 22, Ambassador Eva Dvořáková visited the city of Miskolc. There she met with Boglárka Gál, chairwoman of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Council, and Éva Matiscsák, deputy mayor of Miskolc, and visited the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


Ms Ambassador and Ms Boglárka Gál discussed establishing partnership relations between Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County and a suitable Czech region. We will also strengthen contacts at the level of secondary schools and vocational school.

Deputy Mayor Ms Eva Matiscsák highlighted the very fruitful bilateral relations with the city of Ostrava, in particular the field of student exchanges. Contacts between Miskolc and Czech partners also include participation in international projects financed by the EU.

Ambassador also met with Tamás Bihall, president of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss intensifying ties between Czech and Hungarian businesses. Joint activities will include the preparation of business missions, a seminar to introduce the Czech market to companies from the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén region, and a presentation of business opportunities for Czech entities on the Hungarian market.

On 17 June, Ambassador Eva Dvořáková visited the town of Sárospatak, where she held talks with Mayor Szabolcs Farkas and visited the Great Library of the Reformed College with collections of old prints of J. A. Comenius. Mayor Szabolcs Farkas highlighted the very fruitful bilateral relations with Sárospatak’s twin city Jindřichův Hradec. Thanks to the legacy and work of J. A. Comenius in Sárospatak, the town's institutions, the local Hungarian Comenius Association and the Tokaj University have also been cooperating with Uherský Brod and its J. A. Comenius Museum for a long time. During the visit to the Library of the Sárospatak Reformed College, Áron Kovács, the curator of the collection, presented to the Ambassador rare prints, such as the first printed version of the book ‘Orbis Pictus’

On 5 June, Ambassador Eva Dvořáková opened the International Bohemian Studies Conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of Bohemian Studies in Budapest. The Ambassador emphasized the long-standing support of the Czech state for the teaching of Czech language abroad and thanked the important personalities who have contributed to the promotion and teaching of Czech literature and linguistics in Hungary:
Director of the Institute of Slavonic and Baltic Philology, Róbert Kiss Szemán, Veronika Heé and Oleg Fedosov. She also praised the current generation of Hungarian Bohemists, thanks to whom Bohemian studies in Budapest will continue to develop in the future. The conference was held under the auspices of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Budapest and was organized by the Institute of Slavonic and Baltic Philology of the Faculty of Arts of Loránd Eötvös University with the support of the St. Adalbert Foundation for Central and East European Studies.
