A „Budapest Alulnézetből” projektet azért hívtuk életre, hogy felhívjuk a figyelmet a város méltatlanul elfeledett kincseire. Izgalmas tematikus sétára invitáljuk azokat, akik szeretnének kiszakadni a mindennapos mókuskerékből és kellemes kulturális kikapcsolódásra vágynak! Countless historical buildings and sights prove that it is a place where different architectural styles and eras can meet and create a perfect unity of diversity. The city always changes in order to show its many faces to the inhabitants as well as to the tourists. Each day of the year, it surprises us and reveals a secret of its past. But how much do we appreciate the city’s endeavor if we just rush up and down the streets staring the screen of our mobile phones without taking notice of the historical past surrounding us? We never stop to take a close look at our environment and explore its many wonders. Our project, Budapest alulnézetből (Budapest from the bottom-up), aims to draw the attention to the city’s hidden treasures in forms of thematic walks. If you are tired of the rat race day after day and looking for a meaningful way of relaxation, join us on our next trip to the city. During our walks you can get a rare glimpse of the different historical eras of Hungary from the Middle ages through the Modern period till the Socialist regime and now. Furthermore, you can get to know how our ancestors lived in Budapest, what the city was like centuries ago, why the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 played an important role in the history of Budapest. And on top of that, you can go on an exclusive tour to the highest dwelling house of the city or to a hidden church underground. While reconstructing events, besides providing you with information we would like to involve you in the process of discovery.
