Általános információk
Carl Lutz was vice-consul of Switzerland and Head of the Dvision of Foreign interests at the Swiss Legation (Embassy) in Budapest during WWII. He set up a system of diplomatic protection and worked tirelessly with his wife Gertrud, his staff and the Zionist youth to help thousands of Jews escape their programmed death. In 1964 he was honored by the Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, with the Medal of the "Righteous among the Nations".
