🇨🇾🇭🇺 Szoboravató ünnepség a szegedi Móra Ferenc Múzeumban

Örömmel vettünk részt a Zenón szobrának avatására rendezett ünnepségen a szegedi Móra Ferenc Múzeumban.
Az eseményen jelen volt többek között:
* Homer Mavrommatis, a Ciprusi Köztársaság budapesti nagykövete

* Gyeney Laura
* Nagyillés János
* Lippai-Halasi Barbara
* Soós Zoltán
* Tóth Károly
* Purosz Alexandrosz

A rendezvény hangulatát az Eleftheria Tánccsoport ciprusi néptáncbemutatója t***e még emlékezetesebbé.

Az ünnepséget követő állófogadást a Ciprusi Köztársaság Budapesti Nagykövetsége biztosította.

Köszönjük mindenkinek, aki jelenlétével hozzájárult az esemény sikeréhez, és együtt ünnepelhette velünk a magyar–ciprusi kulturális kapcsolatok és barátság értékeit.

🇨🇾🇭🇺 Αποκαλυπτήρια της προτομής του Ζήνωνα του Κιτιέα στο Σέγκεντ

Με μεγάλη χαρά παρευρεθήκαμε στην εκδήλωση για τα αποκαλυπτήρια της προτομής του Ζήνωνα του Κιτιέα, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Móra Ferenc Múzeum.

Τα αποκαλυπτήρια πραγματοποίησε ο Πρέσβης της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας στην Ουγγαρία, Homer Mavrommatis, ενώ χαιρετισμούς απηύθυναν εκπρόσωποι της τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης, της ακαδημαϊκής κοινότητας και της ελληνικής εθνότητας της Ουγγαρίας.

Ιδιαίτερη στιγμή της εκδήλωσης αποτέλεσε η εμφάνιση του χορευτικού συγκροτήματος Ελευθερία, το οποίο παρουσίασε κυπριακούς παραδοσιακούς χορούς, μεταφέροντας στους παρευρισκόμενους το πνεύμα και την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της Κύπρου.

Η εκδήλωση ολοκληρώθηκε με δεξίωση που προσέφερε η Πρεσβεία της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας στη Βουδαπέστη.

Θερμές ευχαριστίες σε όλους όσοι συνέβαλαν στην πραγματοποίηση αυτής της όμορφης πρωτοβουλίας, η οποία αναδεικνύει τον Ζήνωνα, τον σπουδαίο Κύπριο φιλόσοφο και ιδρυτή της Στωικής Φιλοσοφίας, και ενισχύει τους δεσμούς φιλίας μεταξύ Κύπρου, Ελλάδας και Ουγγαρίας.

Had a positive, productive and forward-looking call with 🇭🇺 Deputy Prime Minister Orbán Anita.

We discussed key issues on the EU agenda, including enlargement, and agreed to keep working closely together.

Yesterday, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Hungary, Mr. Homer Mavrommatis, had the honor of attending the first courtesy meeting of the ambassadors accredited to Hungary with the new Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Orbán Anita, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We highly appreciate the open dialogue and the commitment to diplomacy, mutual respect, and international cooperation, and we look forward to strengthening our partnerships even further.

We wish her every success in her important mission.

🎬 European Film Days 2026 have officially opened in Sarajevo!

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Hungary and to Bosnia and Herzegovina was proud to present the opening film Africa Star at Meeting Point Cinema. 🇨🇾✨

From 13–22 May, audiences can enjoy free screenings celebrating European culture, dialogue, and shared values through cinema. 🎥🍿



🎬 Οι Ευρωπαϊκές Ημέρες Κινηματογράφου 2026 άνοιξαν επίσημα στο Σαράγεβο!

Η Πρεσβεία της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας στην Ουγγαρία και στη Βοσνία-Ερζεγοβίνη παρουσίασε την εναρκτήρια ταινία Africa Star στον κινηματογράφο Meeting Point. 🇨🇾✨

Από τις 13 έως τις 22 Μαΐου, το κοινό μπορεί να απολαύσει δωρεάν προβολές που προάγουν τον ευρωπαϊκό πολιτισμό, τον διάλογο και τις κοινές αξίες μέσα από τον κινηματογράφο. 🎥🍿

On 13 May, the “Cyprus Living Heritage” photo exhibition was successfully hosted at the Europe House in Sarajevo.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Hungary and to Bosnia and Herzegovina would like to express its sincere appreciation to Mr. Edin Atlić, Director of Europe House, and the entire Europe House team for their warm hospitality and excellent cooperation in hosting and setting up the exhibition.

We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Nenad Baroš , Honorary Consul of the Republic of Cyprus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for his valuable support with the organisation of the reception and for his continued assistance and cooperation.

The exhibition offered visitors the opportunity to explore elements of Cyprus’ rich living cultural heritage, while also promoting the values of cultural exchange and European cooperation during the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Embassy also thanks its staff and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the event.
