On this day, four years after Russia’s full-scale invasion, Norway stands fully and firmly behind Ukraine.
The heroic efforts of the Ukrainian people through 4 years of horror are deeply impressive. They are fighting for European security and the core principles of international law. Lives have been lost, homes destroyed, but Ukraine’s fight for freedom continues.
There can be no peace talks about Ukraine without Ukraine or Europe.
Any solution must be just, lasting, and guarantee Ukraine’s full independence, sovereignty, and freedom to choose its own path – including its alliances- both now and in the future.
Europe must do more – in all areas – to ensure Ukraine’s future. We remain unwavering in our resolve that a just and lasting peace can only be achieved on Ukraine’s terms, through strength, not submission.
