My Heroes My Inspiration

We take some of the students's work on to share their hero, their inspiration.

This time, we share with you: Grade 1 students.

International Day of Tolerance on November 16 is a great opportunity for us to think back and recall the last time we had a different perspective than one of our friends? When’s the last time we've had to learn something about someone else’s culture?

Look and learn the date that celebrates open-mindedness and listening.

An essential component of tolerance is empathy, and understanding that whether we agree with them or not, others have the same rights as we want for ourselves.

​As UNESCO puts it, “Education for tolerance should aim at countering influences that lead to fear and exclusion of others, and should help young people develop capacities for independent judgement, critical thinking and ethical reasoning. The diversity of our world's many religions, languages, cultures and ethnicities is not a pretext for conflict, but is a treasure that enriches us all."

Hello everyone, welcome to our fifth storytelling. This is a collection of 8 different recordings, the stories will be a mix of English and Indonesian stories and are prepared by grade 12 students, Nicole and Reyna as part of their service hours. 

These storytellings are a part of the whole service project aiming to increase SVP students' reading habit, but the storytelling is directed towards the younger students. This is to introduce them to stories and hopefully it can develop their reading habit.

Calling all PYP students and parents to support our program in SVP monthly theme for September: Literacy Month.

We are going to celebrate together the joy of reading.

We are also going to maximize the use of app for the program as a platform to share the students' post.

Hope you all grow and nurture the love of reading in September; literacy month!

As August ends, September arrives bringing a new theme. There will be some information and activities with us here. Wait for our update soon!
