* Good command of English, both spoken and written;
* Minimum five years of driving experience (experience with diplomatic missions is an added advantage).
Job Description:
Responsible for safely transporting Embassy staff and official guests, maintaining assigned vehicles, ensuring adherence to security protocols, and supporting logistical and administrative transport needs of the Embassy.
Interested applicants are invited to come to the Walk-in-Interview which is scheduled to take place at the Embassy of Sri Lanka on 13-14 May 2026 between 1000hrs - 1500 hrs.

Ambassador-designate Sashikala Premawardhane, and senior officials of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Jakarta participated in “Avurudu Udanaya–2026,” organized by the Association of Sri Lankans in Indonesia (ASLI), held at the Police Grounds in Semarang, Indonesia, on 26 April 2026. The event, which was organized to showcase the authentic spirit of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, highlighted Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. It was attended by over 100 Sri Lankans, who enjoyed the day by engaging in a variety of traditional Avurudu games.

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jakarta facilitated the preparatory meeting of Navy-to-Navy staff talks between Sri Lanka and Indonesia in Colombo on 16 April 2026, on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the ASEAN Plus Cadet Sail Programme. Discussions covered priority areas of cooperation including maritime security, training, operational interaction, maritime domain awareness, and regional engagement. The meeting reflected the steadily expanding partnership between Sri Lanka and Indonesia as two important maritime nations.

Ambassador-designate Sashikala Premawardhane held a high-level meeting with Director General Jelfina C. Alouw of the International Coconut Community (ICC) at the ICC Headquarters in Jakarta on 31 March 2026. The discussions focused on a broad spectrum of strategic and sectoral priorities, with particular emphasis on the evolving role of the ICC and Sri Lanka’s substantive contributions to advancing its institutional mandate as an active member state.
Both parties engaged in a comprehensive exchange on the prevailing challenges and emerging opportunities in coconut cultivation across Sri Lanka and other member countries, including issues related to sustainability, productivity, market dynamics, and climate resilience. The discussion on coconut oil as a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) was particularly noteworthy, as it represents a highly innovative and strategically significant non-conventional application of coconut.
