Did you know that vending machines containing fresh durians exist? 😀😋

In Singapore, multiple durian vending machines can be found spread across the island, offering boxed sliced Musang King durian fruit. A great idea which has yet to come to Malaysia! Each box contains 400 grams of Musang King with all unsold fruit at the end replaced to ensure freshness.

We are often asked if it’s possible to have Musang King from other countries and the answer is no!

Malaysia has intellectual property protection for Musang King durian with the brand first registered in 2014 under Geographical Indication. Malaysia’s minister of agriculture and food security, stated that the designation means Musang King “belongs to Malaysia” and cannot be claimed by durian sellers from other countries.
