During the meeting, Francisco conveyed the Costa Rican government's desire to enhance promotion and advance higher education cooperation, which is a priority of Costa Rica's diplomatic mission in Indonesia. The main focus of this meeting resulted in in-depth discussions on the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) scholarship program, including an increase in the quota for awardees from Costa Rica, as well as reciprocal promotion of government scholarship schemes between the two countries to expand the reach of information for prospective students. In addition to the KNB Scholarship, the meeting discussed various other possibilities for higher education cooperation, including the development of a cooperation framework for student exchange programs and lecturer exchange programs to share research and academic expertise. This step is expected to be a catalyst for more progressive educational collaboration between Indonesia and Costa Rica in the future.
