Together with talented local chefs: Chef Asep and Chef Neni, Ambassador Dominic tried his hand at making strawberry sambal, a creative twist combining one of Indonesia’s best-loved condiments with strawberries grown in the highlands of West Java.

With its fertile highlands and rich culinary traditions, West Java continues to inspire creativity, bringing local ingredients and flavours together in unexpected and delicious ways.

A sweet reminder that a little creativity can give local flavours a fresh twist and open up new possibilities. ✨

This year, the UK joined Super Garuda Shield 2026 with a focus on the Cyber Exercise (CYBEREX). Led by Chief Petty Officer Nick Lundsten and a team of five from the Royal Navy’s Cyber Defence Operations, we worked alongside partners at SESKO TNI in Bandung from 31 August to 11 September. 🇬🇧🇮🇩

With 13 countries participating, from Indonesia to the UK, the US, Singapore, Australia, and beyond, CYBEREX 2026 tested how we respond to cyber threats against critical digital infrastructure. Together, we strengthened coordination, interoperability, and resilience in the cyber domain.

This is more than an exercise, it’s about building stronger international defence cooperation and pushing forward the UK‑Indonesia Strategic Partnership.
