General information
HISTORY
PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero) was established under the Government Regulation Number 23 of 1986 as a merger betwen PT Bonded Warehouses Indonesia and PT Sasana Bhanda.
In 1990 through the Government Regulation Number 31 of 1990 the Government liquidated PT. Pusat Perkayuan Marunda (Persero) and had it merged into PT KBN, since then the shareholders of PT KBN have consisted of the Central Government (88.7%) and the Regional Government of The Jakarta Special Capital Region (11.3%). In 1994 through the Government Regulation Number 38 of 1994 the liquidated PT. Pengelola Kawasan Berikat Indonesia (PKBI) was also merged into PT KBN.
The core business of PT KBN is to manage integrated industrial zones of the bonded zone status to function as an export processing zone (EPZ), and logistics service covering the forwarding business transportation, cargo handling and documents) as well as warehousing.
