DAY 2 FVC YAU 2023
Good morning everyone! On this second day, we learned an interesting topic. We have the opportunity to learn from Mr. Kazuhiro Uozumi, an SCM Advisor from Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. He shared his years of experience and knowledge in the area of supply chain management, especially on food products, including farm and fishery products.

We are pleased to announce that the FVC Program in partnership with Yezin Agricultural University from 19 to 23 June 2023 has begun. Dr. Nang Hseng Hom, Rector of YAU, officially started the program in her opening remarks, followed by a warm welcome from our Project Coordinator, Mr. Hiroaki Kinosh*ta.
We are very excited to start the week with a lecture from Mr. Hisashi Nagahiro about sustainable agriculture in the food service industry, especially the actions that Yoshinoya Holdings Co., Ltd has taken to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.

DAY 6 FVC NUL 2023 (Field Trip)
We started early this morning to have a visit to a local Melon Farm (Tomelon) and continued with a visit to Vientiane's central market (TaladLao Market) to learn more about the farm-to-table cycle and the roles of the market which contributed to the sustainability of the food value chain in our country.

Thank you lecturers for the great experience and the knowledge you have shared. We hope to see you again in the next year's program.

DAY 5 FVC NUL 2023
Good morning! Ms. Miho Togaki from IDACA was with us the whole day and shared her expertise in Agricultural Cooperatives. As an example, we were shown a virtual tour of JA Kinosato, one of Japan's agricultural cooperatives located in Wakayama Prefecture. She highlighted the cooperative's effort to add value to its agricultural products. In the afternoon, we also had an interesting related workshop on women's roles in agriculture. By the end of the day, we gained a comprehensive understanding of the importance of the topics given.

We also want to extend our appreciation to Mr. Kham Phommacant, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Mr. Uo Takuyo, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Lao PDR, for delivering closing remarks which marked the end of our wonderful learning week.

But don't worry, we still have a field trip to the farm and market tomorrow. Stay tuned!

DAY 4 FVC NUL 2023
We are so excited today because we welcomed our lecturers from Yoshinoya Holdings Co., Ltd. Mr. Hisashi Nagahiro shared his view and experience about Yoshinoya's sustainable business management and continued with a workshop led by Ms. Wirachapan Sutharat with the same topic. We play a board game about competitiveness and cooperation which is basically a fun training on today's topic!

DAY 3 FVC NUL 2023
Today we had the opportunity to learn more from experts from Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery (MAFF). In the morning session, Ms. Akiko Yokota shared her knowledge of the necessary conditions for exporting Lao's agricultural products overseas. In the afternoon, we also had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Yoshiro Nishimura regarding Geographical Indication as a protection system in Japan and Laos and its implications for future cooperation. All in all, we learned so much today and cannot wait for tomorrow's sessions!

DAY 2 FVC NUL 2023
Good morning everyone! Today we learned abundantly from 3 beloved experts. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Souvanthong Namvong and Mr. Anouthikone Sipaseuth, who shared their experiences on farmer group/cooperative management and organic farming. Both lecturers explained more about the opportunities and challenges for small farmers to get into the market. In the afternoon, we also had Mr. Shigeshi Oonishi, who elaborated more on the agricultural supply chain & product distribution, especially on rice, vegetables, and fruits.

Sabaidee! It is good to be back here in Lao PDR!
We are pleased to announce the FVC Program in partnership with the National University of Laos from 24 to 29 April 2023. Today marks the first day of the program. In the morning, Dr. Ryoichi Ishii from NAPA introduced us to the Food Value Chain system with some examples of FVC in Japanese companies. We were also excited to learn more from Mr. Kenji Yoshida of Ajinomoto AGF about the importance of taking action toward sustainability and their effort to achieve it.

Hallo selamat siang semuanya :-)
We are pleased to announce that FVC Program in Partnership with IPB University has been started on 28 March 2023 and will still on going up to 16 May 2023. The course is held on a weekly basis and we already organized 3 courses in a row. We would like to extend our utmost appreciation to Ms. Kazuko Takabatake from MAFF Japan that that have shared her expertise on Japan Food Safety Standard on 28 March. Also to Dr. Shinji Kono, Chief Engineer R&D Center of Mayekawa Mfg. Co., Ltd. that have shared a valuable lecture on Freezing Technology on 4th April. In addition, we also would like to thank Mr. Hisashi Nagahiro, General Manager, and Ms. Wirachapan Sutharat, Recruitment Manager of the Global HR Strategy Division of Yoshinoya Holdings Co., Ltd. that have delivered a fruitful lecture about Sustainable Agriculture as well as Food Processing and its Safety Management. All those lectures with many lessons learned were incredibly useful to improve students' knowledge in Indonesia. Here are some sneak peak photos of each session.

Day 5 FVC RUA 2023
Today we have completed an intensive course on the Food Value Chain. On the final day, we learned about the importance of ICT or smart agriculture in optimizing agriculture production. Deep appreciation to Prof. Dr. Hideo Shimazu, Executive Advisor of NEC Solution Innovators Ltd. for such a wonderful lecture as well as for providing a valuable workshop session to build our awareness on the importance of data analysis with many parameters.
Special appreciation goes to Prof. Dr. Huon Tavrak, Vice Rector of RUA, and Mr. Ebihara of MAFF Japan for the heart-warming closing remark. Also, to Associate Prof. Kong Thong, Dr. Hor Rathna, and all RUA staff for the such wonderful support and hard work for the success of this Program. Last but not the least, thank you very much to all RUA Students who joined this Program, thank you for your being diligent and proactive in learning FVC the whole week. Keep learning, keep going, and keep growing. See you in the next Program, អរគុណ​ច្រើន!

Today we were very excited to learn about Food Procesing in service industry with Mr. Hisashi Nagahiro, General Manager Global Human Resources Division of Yoshinoya Holdings Co., Ltd and functional food with Ms. Wirachapan Sutharat, Recruitment Manager Global HR Division of Yosinoya. Such a great opportunity as well that today we learnt on how to develop suitable and healthy food for certain people with certain condition through workshop. Wonderful experience of learning session!
