Here are (some of) the women of our Embassy! 💃👩🧕

Today, we marked by learning about a project on women's rights, presented by Raphaella Schobinger, Junior Political Officer.

She was also in charge of the recent exhibition at ADEXCO and is preparing the upcoming Switzerland Global Enterprise ASEAN Regional Meeting!

🇨🇭 Switzerland is committed to supporting the development of SMEs in Indonesia 🇮🇩

Together with Otoritas Jasa Keuangan and the International Labour Organization, Switzerland launched the Promise II Impact program which aims at unlocking access to finance 💵 for SMEs and boosting digital transformation 🖥️. This will allow SMEs to grow, compete and create jobs. Promise Impact will work with banks and SMEs in Central Java and East Nusa Tenggara and contribute to Indonesia’s financial inclusion agenda.

🇨🇭Switzerland was honoured to receive the visit of the 🇮🇩 President Joko Widodo in our booth in ADEXCO - presenting our (DRM) actions in Indonesia and in countries.

Switzerland continues supporting Indonesia in , putting emphasis on the importance of prevention and preparedness and investments in DRM to develop sustainable resilience.

Switzerland supports Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana and Indonesia to promote its experience in DRM towards ASEAN countries.

Towards a better delivery of public services

The Switzerland, Canada and EU-financed Public Financial Management Multi-Donor Trust Fund (implemented by the World Bank) is supporting subnational governments by providing technical assistance on revenue administration. Through the “District Lab” engagement, a revenue administration baseline diagnostic is being conducted in 6 districts, including Gorontalo City. Ways to improve district revenue mobilization were discussed in the recent two-day workshop to ensure that the people of Gorontalo benefit from public infrastructure and services.

🌳🌿🍃 The city of Geneva has set up several projects to transform parking lots (1,200 m2 of asphalt) into micro-forests which will increase the green area in the canton from 21% to 30% 🌳⬆🌳

Ambassador Olivier Zehnder visited the House Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of Indonesia and discussed with the parliamentarians on ways to further strengthen excellent cooperation in many areas such as inter-parliamentary, vocational training and the promotion of tourism.

Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia Olivier Zehnder had the honour to present his Letter of Credentials to Presiden Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta this morning.

The South East Asia Strategy 2023-2026 adopted by the Federal Council on 15 February 2023 underlines that Indonesia is a priority partner of Switzerland.

Switzerland and Indonesia are close partners with more than 70 years of bilateral relations and 50 years of economic cooperation. Our Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement demonstrates Switzerland's will to intensity partnership with Indonesia.
