Kedutaan Besar Malaysia, Jakarta

Mr. Farzamie Sarkawi, Chargé d'affaires Embassy of Malaysia, Jakarta received a courtesy call from Commander Megat Mohamad Sofwan Firdaus bin Megat Mohamad Yunus, Commanding Officer of KD Lekir of the Royal Malaysian Navy, on 27 April 2026. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the vessel’s visit to Jakarta and ongoing cooperation and coordination between the Royal Malaysian Navy and Indonesian Navy.

The Embassy was honoured to attend the inauguration of the Secretariat Office of the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Transboundary Haze Pollution Control on 22 April 2026. The Centre was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia.

Also in attendance were the Ambassador of Vietnam, as well as the Deputy Chiefs of Mission of Singapore and Thailand.

The Embassy extends its sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for hosting this important institution and for its continued leadership in advancing regional cooperation on environmental protection.

Pada 20 April 2026, Jawatankuasa Ekonomi dan Hal Ehwal Perusahaan Kecil dan Sederhana MCA yang diketuai oleh YBhg. Dato' Lawrence Low Ah Keong, Naib Presiden MCA, telah mengadakan lawatan ke Kedutaan Besar Malaysia, Jakarta. Semasa lawatan tersebut Encik Ahmad Akmal Muhamad, Menteri Kedutaan (Ekonomi); Puan Rosnita Hamzah, Penasihat Kedutaan; dan Puan Noor Idayu Mohd Surol, Penasihat Kedutaan (Imigresen) telah memberikan taklimat mengenai hubungan dua hala Malaysia-Indonesia, potensi pelaburan dan perniagaan serta konsular dan imigresen kepada delegasi.

Mr. Farzamie Sarkawi, Chargé d’Affaires a.i, Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, attended the launching of CIRRUS Prototype at the KP2C Office (Komunitas Peduli Bencana Kabupaten Bogor), Bogor, Republic of Indonesia, on 15 April 2026. The event was also attended by Ibu Diana Kusumastuti, Vice Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia.

The CIRRUS Prototype is a disaster monitoring and management initiative developed by AIM Analytics Sdn. Bhd., aimed at enhancing early warning capabilities, real-time field data visibility and coordinated response for disaster risk management. The prototype is currently being implemented in collaboration with KP2C Bogor Regency as part of a technology validation phase, prior to potential wider deployment.

TYT Dato’ Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Indonesia telah mengiringi Jeneral Datuk Malek Razak Sulaiman, Panglima Angkatan Tentera Malaysia semasa kunjungan hormat beliau ke atas General (Purn) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Menteri Pertahanan Republik Indonesia pada 2 April 2026.

Jeneral Datuk Malek Razak Sulaiman, Panglima Angkatan Tentera Malaysia telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas TYT Dato’ Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Duta Besar Malaysia ke Republik Indonesia pada 2 April 2026.
