Continuing in Vienna on 29 April 2026, the “International Conference on Governance of Religious Diversity: Comparing Models, Sharing Best Practices, and Deepening Bilateral and International Cooperation for Peaceful Coexistence,” jointly organized by the University of Vienna and the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided a platform for dialogue and exchange between participants from Austria, Indonesia, the Holy See, and KAICIID, as well as representatives from ASEAN countries present in Vienna. 🤝

The conference brought together religious leaders, academics, policymakers, and civil society representatives to discuss approaches to strengthening social harmony and peaceful coexistence in increasingly diverse societies. Discussions also highlighted the importance of interfaith and intercultural dialogue, cross-sector collaboration, and the role of educational institutions in promoting inclusive and contextual best-practice approaches to religious moderation.

These meetings reaffirmed the shared commitment and strong partnership between Austria and Indonesia in fostering mutual understanding, cooperation, and interfaith engagement at both the bilateral and international levels. 🇦🇹🇮🇩
