🇩🇰🤝🇮🇩 Connecting Danish expertise with Indonesia’s opportunities

How can Danish knowledge, technology and solutions contribute to a stronger, more innovative and sustainable Indonesian farming industry?

The Royal Danish Embassy in Jakarta supports connections between Danish companies and relevant Indonesian stakeholders to explore opportunities and build strategic partnerships.

Through stakeholder meetings, site visits and business seminars, we facilitate opportunities for Danish companies to share their expertise, exchange ideas and better understand the needs and opportunities within Indonesia’s farming industry.

From sustainable solutions to innovative technologies and advanced manufacturing, Danish expertise can contribute to Indonesia’s ambitions for a more productive, sustainable and resilient industry creating businesses, farmers and communities.

By bringing the right people together, the Embassy helps turn knowledge exchange into meaningful connections, practical solutions and long-term partnerships.

Danish expertise. Indonesian ambition. Stronger together. 🇩🇰🤝🇮🇩

Strengthening organic production and control systems benefits more than the organic sector. It contributes to more sustainable food systems, greater biodiversity and stronger consumer trust🌱

On the final day, the Vietnamese and Indonesian teams presented their ideas in a Gallery Walk, learning from each other’s approaches to communicating the value of organic to consumers and gathering inspiration to promote and develop the organic sector in their home markets.

🎥 Hear the Danish experts’ key takeaways from three days together with their Vietnamese and Indonesian colleagues.

More farmers in Vietnam and Indonesia are growing organic. But for organic markets to grow, consumers need to understand and trust what organic means 👀🌱

That’s why communication plays an important role in developing the organic sector in both countries.

🎥 On day two, the Vietnamese and Indonesian teams compared how they communicate about organic in their own countries, and found they share many of the same opportunities and challenges discovering what they have in common, sharing inspiration and exploring opportunities to learn from each other.

🎥 Also hear from the Danish embassies in Hanoi and Jakarta about why the two countries are working on this together, and from participants about what they have in common and what inspired them. Plus a first look at the communication campaign and strategy the teams are developing.

Stay tuned for more from the 🇻🇳🇮🇩 Joint Organic Communications Mission in Jakarta.

How do you communicate the value of organic production to consumers? 🌱

That’s the question bringing local partners from Vietnam and Indonesia together with Danish Veterinary and Food Authority (DVFA) in Jakarta this week, as part of the cooperation between Denmark and the two countries.

Communication plays a crucial role in building consumer understanding of and trust in organic production, supporting demand growth and creating new opportunities for organic producers.

🎥 In today’s video, Katrine from DVFA and participant share their hopes, and why Vietnam and Indonesia are working on this together.

Follow along over the next three days 🇩🇰🇻🇳🇮🇩

“How do you say ‘I love Indonesia’ in Danish?” was one of the many questions we got asked at the European Day of Languages on Thursday 24 September - a cultural initiative funded by the EU 🇪🇺 and happily attended by the Royal Danish Embassy 🇩🇰, because languages bring us closer!

The European Day of Languages marks a day of celebrating and promoting language learning and linguistic diversity. With more than 200+ indigenous languages in Europe, we had 20+ native languages represented at the event.

Thank you dearly to all participants for your help, opening the doors to new cultures, and for having so much fun with our Viking helmet - and, of course, a special thanks to EUNIC Indonesia and European Union in Indonesia 🥰

🌱🇪🇺 23 September marks EU Organic Day!

To celebrate, we’re highlighting Denmark–Indonesia cooperation to support the development of organic dairy production in Indonesia. 🇩🇰🇮🇩🥛

Since 2021, our Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) project has worked with Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture, the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health Services Kementerian Pertanian RI Ditjen PKH Kementan RI on organic dairy production. That includes the legal framework, feed safety and management, animal welfare and health, and training for officials. 🌾🐄

And there’s more! In East Java, the Pilot Market Driven Organic Dairy Production in Indonesia project has trained more than 1,000 farmers in organic principles. 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

Through cooperation, Denmark and Indonesia are turning shared ambitions into practical action for more sustainable agriculture, stronger food systems, and new opportunities for farmers and communities. 🌱🤝

🇮🇩➡️🇩🇰 From Aceh to Papua! 11 Heads of Law Ministry Regional Offices from 11 provinces across Indonesia visited Copenhagen last week to learn about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) practices in Denmark. 💡⚖️

Together with the Danish Patent and Trademark Office, the delegation, headed by DJKI Indonesia, had fruitful discussions with Danish authorities on how to further strengthen IP protection and enforcement in Indonesia, drawing on best practices from Denmark and the EU. 🤝🇩🇰🇪🇺

The team also visited LEGO and the Danish Customs Agency to see how the private sector and enforcement authorities work hand in hand to protect IP owners from infringement.

This activity was conducted under the Denmark–Indonesia Strategic Cooperation on the IPR Sector. We look forward to more activities and exchanges in the future!
