Sipoholon Hot Spring is one of the many hot springs scattered around Lake Toba. Once a massive supervolcano that erupted 75.000 years ago, all that remain is a huge caldera 100km long and 30km wide.

This universe is like a giant mirror. Everything we put out, like getting angry over something simple will eventually get back at you many times over.
We can choose how we react, it is given to us by the creator, a special ability that differentiate us, human than other living beings...

So lets use it wisely.

Thank you 2020 for giving us so many lessons and showing us what is essential.

There is a legend in Lake Toba about Naga Padoha, a giant serpent-dragon like creature who lives at the bottom of the lake.
When you’re out there and seeing a scene like this, you can’t help but wander about this “Guardian of The Lake” underneath.

The rice fields in around Lake Toba are different than any rise fields I’ve seen elsewhere. Separated by volcanic rocks between each fields, these unique landscape give a sense of preserved ‘Ancientness’.

A traditional Batak architecture on the shore of Lake Toba. Only a family lives here isolation. The only way to get there is by boat from Parapat. There are plenty of hidden gems like this around Toba... I hope its stay preserved like this...

The beautiful and fertile valley of Sampur Toba during rice harvest season. This isolated valley overlooking Samosir Island in the top left corner is one of Toba’s best kept secret with many of its ancient villages still retained their stone walls.
